Do you really think all those women coming up saying they were harassed by some famous guy have are in a position to complain/is it that bad?

I don't personally give a shit. If they have something to say, then cool. If something happened to them like that, that sucks. If they're lying about it, fuck em.

If a woman wants to suck a cock to get a position, that's her right. It's also her right to say no. What she can't do is suck the cock, get the position and then complain about it 20 years later when she's rich as fuck as a direct result of sucking that cock.

It's up to the interpretation of the individual woman, which is confusing to some guys. And women have zero problem claiming harassment years later simply because they think it will get them attention.

One actress from here in Canada just came out claiming Weinstein "harassed" her when she was cast for two parts in his movies and then faded into nonexistence, likely because she was bad at her job and had to be "harassed" just to get a part. She's just trying to garner more attention to maybe get another shot.

So make sure you're in a position where if something you do could be considered harassment you're in a position where the woman doesn't care.

It's complicated. First of all, the line between a sexual advance, sexual harassment, and sexual assult have blurred. For that reason, I think a lot of the #MeToo stuff are people who misread advances or took them more as harassment. Also, I think harassment is interpreted as a guy being too sexually aggressive too quickly, or not stopping when all IOIs indicate you need to walk away. By that definition, it happens a lot. Cat calling, leading with a sexually charged pickup line, following a girl around the bar after she shot you down and walked away repeatedly, telling an employee they are fired if they don't, etc....

What Weinstein did is absolutely assult. If you listen to the tape, there is no doubt in my mind that women weren't convinced to stay and have sex, some felt threatened and forced to stay and have sex. Being a large man like he is, who is dangerously aggressive and brash, is just as threatening as a knife or a gun to a young small woman. Giving in for fear of being physically hurt is not the same as being convinced that this is someone you want to sleep with.

Sure, plenty of girls banged Harvey to get the part on their own accord, but I have no doubt that many, over his 30 year history in the business, absolutely felt forced.

It’s a trend that occurs as soon as someone makes an accusation. True or otherwise, you can look at any sexual assault/harassment scandal, there are always going to be others. Either A. The women were targeted by the predator and were preyed upon. Or B. One woman feels uncomfortable about the way she was treated, comes forward as a brave survivor and gets attention, a bunch of slores who also “knew” the accused perpetrator come forward for their free pity party.

I think that when your typical blonde blue-eyed D-cup 20-year old in Hollywood is aggressively convinced that she needs a massage and then feels ol' fat greasy Harvey's chubby pushing on her butt, she knows very well what options she has, and she probably did from the moment she was invited to the hotel room. It's a lot easier to suck Harvey's cock than to be a talented actress, and most people tend to go for the easy way out.

So why do they out him after all these years? Well, they don't need him anymore, they've already had their Hollywood career. It's commonly known that past favors have no effect on how someone treats you today, humans are opportunistic, not loyal. Besides, not only do they not need him anymore, they've also been genetically violated (even if they agreed to it and knew what they were doing) and would love to see Harvey burn after daring to put his terrible genetics-cum anywhere near their vaginas.

It's really really bad. Read about Jian Ghomeshi. Past member of a popular band, with a great radio show in Canada. Three women come forth accusing him of sexual impropriety. He discloses to his employer that he's into BDSM and gets fired.

All three women were lying.

He had his day in court and his lawyer was able to utterly tear apart the three women. They all had the same thing in common: he had rejected all three of them and never had sex with any of them. He was alpha as fuck and they all wanted the D. They wanted it so bad that they conspired to ruin his career because they couldn't get it.

So yes, these accusations are really really bad. The accused men won't be able to defend themselves because this isn't court. No facts will be reviewed. No questions asked of the accusers (or at least none that they don't want to answer). There is no defense to hearsay and gossip.

This is how girls bully. I taught grades 6-8 for a while. Guys bully physically. They hit and threaten and intimidate. Girls bully just as often, but it always goes unpunished. They spread rumors. They create a false storyline and spread it around. Maybe it's something like, "I heard that girl's dad raped her. That's why she's so bad at math." Someone else responds, "Oh! You're right! She is bad at math." Next thing you know, everyone thinks your dad is a rapist, and you're some kind of trashy victim who has sex with her dad. Kids who are the target of this stuff kill themselves. There's virtually never any punishment for it in Middle School, and there's virtually no punishment for it later in life either.

So yes, it's very very very very bad.
