Sadly not in Canada and UK. ISIS pass welcomed with open arms here

Canada is lost

I am pretty sure this isn't PPD in this context. I am pretty sure that being accused of or convicted for being a member of ISIS will get you into prison or worse no matter the age or gender.

In the UK they are given free houses. Sweden is doing the same.

EDIT: I shouldn't have linked The Sun.

How so? I’m retarded because I oppose giving asylum to former radical, genocidal jihadists and because I am a proponent of assimilating and harbouring refugees of a proxy war that was started due to the ignorance of the first world?

What are you even talking about? We’re on completely different pages it seems, because I’m not talking about the article OP posted, I’m talking about the article that addresses giving taxpayer funded housing to members of ISIS.

I do think that America should lead by example, though. We have a track record of installing brutal dictatorships.

Bruh ur so stupid just stop talking and go read a book

[–]SkyNights7 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (7 children) | Copy Link

How is it bigoted for wanting bigoted ISIS members sentenced for life/executed?

[–]infamousnexus55 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Not at all. It's cultural enrichment. It's the suicide of the west. They have a literal fetish for their own destruction.

[–]by_myself 22 points23 points24 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't. I want to live a reasonable life and retire before I die. What the fuck happened to letting people reap the consequences of making poor life choices. When did going off and joining a terrorist group become a viable career choice with a comfy retirement package?

[–]infamousnexus38 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

When the west decided that virtue signaling was more important than real values, hard work, decency, morality, etc.

[–]Kinbaku_enthusiast 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree.

When the western acadamia was sufficiently demoralized to believe that self-defense is immoral, cultural comparison is immoral and that the west itself is immoral and has to be deconstructed.

[–]RadRandy 35 points36 points37 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Stories like this are happening all the time in Europe.

[–]ScudstockI'm kind of a smug prick. So... 25 points26 points27 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Infuriating.

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points19 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They are giving Migrants jobs driving Trucks in Germany. If I didn't know any better I would say they are intentionally pissing off Europeans with this kind of bullshit.

[–]RadRandy 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I cant see anyway that could go wrong! Seems like a perfect fit!

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nope. This is what happens when you remove the death penalty...

These people committed treason to not only the UK, but to all of humanity and they're welcomed with open arms back into the west. Treason used to be a capital crime practically everywhere... Now we celebrate the treasonous.

I'm a muslim and I despise radicals and radicalism. I wouldn't feel safe with one of these people in my community because they'd want me dead because I pray with my hands at my side instead of folded across my arms or some other stupid "justification" for their bullshit violence.

[–]Rationalbacon 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

only way i would support this is if those houses were triggered to pump out carbon monoxide over an evening at extremely high levels.

problem solved.

[–]Account778 39 points40 points41 points 8 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Same here in Canada. We also give them a nice start-up allowance of $10,000,000 upon return.

[–]desolatemindspace 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Seriously? 10 mil.... Damn. Brb.... Lol

Probably have to be Canadian first don't I....

[–]infamousnexus52 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (10 children) | Copy Link

He is probably referring to the terrorist who got 10.5 million dollars from Justin Trudeau's government as a settlement because he was "tortured" (they wouldn't let him sleep more than 3 hours at a time) after he permanently crippled several US soldiers and killing at least one with an IED.

/u/Betamax69

[–]ItsOnlyTheTruth 18 points19 points20 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

He wasn't allowed to sleep more than three hours without half an hour awake in between for three weeks. That's still more sleep than any shift worker or new parent. Also the American government conducted this "torture" but Trudeau decided that Canada should have intervened so paid him $10.5 million anyway. The guys entire family are terrorists.

[–]infamousnexus13 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. I used to get 3 hours of sleep a day TOTAL in college, for months on end.

Our own President (US) admits he only sleeps 3-4 hours a day and he is in his 70's.

The idea that having interrupted sleep is some heinous torture is just ridiculous.

[+]Arya_5tark -14 points-13 points-12 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Maybe Donald Trump does only sleep 3-4 hours a day. It makes sense he would want to be awake as much as possible to be our living nightmare.

[–]Nigerian____Prince 13 points14 points15 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Rationalbacon 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

i would let him sleep forever.

[+]misterzigger -13 points-12 points-11 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

  1. There isn't significant enough evidence to support that he was the one who threw the grenade

  2. He was a child at the time, making the entire idea of consenting to being a terrorist is questionable.

  3. He 100% was tortured, this was proven in court, and Trudeau payed out because the case was lost by the Harper government.

[–]infamousnexus16 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

1.) He is a terrorist. He has sent money to terrorists. He threw the IED.

2.) He wasn't a child, he was a teenager.

3.) He wasn't tortured. The case wasn't lost, they simply gave up and settled out of court.

[+]misterzigger -11 points-10 points-9 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Considering there was literally 0 proof he threw the grenade, and he is likely monitored by CSIS so you have any proof of these claims?

Teenagers are children, don't be pedantic

He was tortured. This was proven in court, his interrogators were later fired because of torture. Guantanamo is renowned for their use of torture. The case was given up on because the Canadian government had no standing legally to continue, as they had lost at virtually every level of law

[–]Betamax69 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

10 million canadian dollars? Like a grant to start a business?

[–]CorpusCalIosum 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What the fuck

[–]TheAwkwardGuy2000 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't wanna be a radical anymore so gimme that house ty

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]mailshift 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The British government has effectively sentenced some 300 to death in absentia. Those who have left the country can be stripped of citizenship and there is a list of those who the UK want to be killed. No you don't get a free house.

[–]willmaster123 -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's the Sun. Typically what they say, the opposite is true.

[–]Equilibriator 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Notice how all news about this happened around the same time, then there's no mention of it at all afterwards.

I'm pretty sure this didn't happen. It was just someones suggestion that the press blew up before it got turned down, I wouldnt be surprised if this was a distraction for something else.

[–]Uwbymannen -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This sounds like an attempt of changing the way of thought on some of the people who has gone to the point of thinking that killing a bunch of people is the one and only solution. It sounds like it may be abused and on the same time not be as effective as they may want. This doesn't seem like too bad of an idea in general, trying to prevent people from going too violent, though I wonder violent against who?

[–]Schizophermic -1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It should have been death.

[–]Zeppelin415 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Melina Boughedir was sentenced last February to seven months in prison for "illegal" entry into the country and was set to be deported back to France, but another court ordered her re-trial under Iraq's anti-terrorist law.

Which is honestly the better option. It is way cheaper. It makes sure that the terrorist will not attack you ever again and they won't radicalize anyone else.

[–]FreshNothingBurger 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Now ain't that the truth.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Shooting on sight? Yea, probably cheaper and easier?

But if that’s the default reaction, how many people also get shot on sight just from being in the wrong place at the wrong time?
