Yep. They are sheltering pets before sheltering male domestic violence victims. Not just pets. They want to get more women in, so they are allowing them to bring their pets. Next, they will be opening women's shelters with built-in spas, so women can feel better about their skincare. Then the women's shelter combination mall, theatre, nail salon, and gym. Fully funded, of course. Men's shelter? Nope. No funding for that.

Why do we have to point out that humans are more important than pets?

I don't know that this says anything by itself about the state of care provided for males versus females.

What it does tell me is that these people have too much funding and not enough clientele. That suggests that perhaps the money could be better spent elsewhere.

Can anyone actually confirm that this shelter doesn't help men? I browsed there website and I didn't see anything indicating they only take women and children. Some sectioned indicated they help "homeless families" which seems as though it would include men.

Someone out there willing to do some fact checking?

I'm going to be honest, the pets should get full priority over humans. All domestic violence shelter should be exclusively for pets. /s

If there is one thing i have learned from reading reddit relationships sub, men women and children all come after pets.

I saw a post a couple of weeks ago where from memory, the guy had assaulted his SO (not serious) and then kicked the dog.

Every comment went on about how the dog was.

I've even seen them get more heat then when a kid is in an abuse situation and there is a pet involved.
