To the extent that you know me here, you know me as that Feminist troll who has been haunting the sub for about 10 days. I posted this elsewhere, but this was my exchange with the mods at r/Feminism.

My point in posting this here is this: I get how you feel about feminism if who you interact with as feminists is online. This frustrated the hell out of me. I was trying really hard to have a good faith conversation, and that failed. I get how many of you probably have had the same experience.

I learned feminism offline. With real people who always treated me, as a guy, with respect. Who taught me to think of it as a sincerely collaborative endeavor between men and women.

So, if I've been overly dismissive of your experience of feminists (particularly online ones), I apologize. I didn't expect this kind of response, and it really took me aback.

But it reinforces a particular point to me: if you think this is representative of feminism, I disagree. It's online feminism. Because online interactions ruin everything. There's so much better faith out there in the real world.

I'll continue to seek that for MRAs as well; as frustrating as some of these online interactions can be, I'd rather hold the movement to account for its offline representatives. Be well.
