I don't think they do believe it. I think that their movement has become so reliant on the lie, that they deliberately choose to repeat the lie.

It's impossible for an educated person who has studied the issue to genuinely believe it. So it's more likely that the people who claim to, who I must remind you are to a single one of them political hacks, are simply lying.
