Recently I was shopping in a store and the girl who worked there was basically looking at me with those googly eyes like she was star struck or something, we were flirting with each other and when she rang me up she wrote her number on my receipt without me even asking for it.

Texted her a couple hours later "Hey Jane it's John" and she never answered. Figured it was a lost cause after a couple days of no answer so sent 1 more text for the hell of it and never got a response from that one either.

Then the other day I was in another store and this girl asked me if I needed help with anything, we were talking and she kept following me around talking to me about school and work and just joking around about random shit. She seemed like she was pretty into me and we made plans to hang out a few days later.

Pretty sure she gave me a fake number because I called it and the voicemail was a man, also didn't reply to my text.

There are a couple other similar stories but you get the point. I'm just not sure what the hell is going on, I know I'm not coming off as needy or desperate and I didn't even ask the first girl for her number, she just gave it to me.

Do you guys run into this usually when you get a girl's number? I understand some girls just flake or play games but why give me your number without me even asking for it if you aren't even interested in responding to my first text?

Edit: Also, I do occasionally go to both of the stores where I met these 2 women. I know that if I had more abundance mentality then I wouldn't ever bother with either one of them again but I feel like the most beta thing I could do is avoid those stores because I care what they think... I'm considering asking them wtf the deal is next time I go to those stores and saying something. I feel like that's pretty cringeworthy but at the same time I feel like its pretty bold and I can't see why the fuck I should care what they think about it. They already ghosted me so worst case scenario they continue ghosting me and best case scenario I end up banging one or both of them. What are your thoughts on this?
