Dealing with anger?

I'm sitting here angry, too. I wish I had words of wisdom, but I do not. However, I can say that anger serves no good and it really is on you (and me) to defeat it. Anger only causes me pain. She will never see her role in the failure of our marriage.

She is blind because of her own anger.

The more I defeat it, the more I see my role and what she did... and then I can learn and never make those mistakes again.

It's done. Do not stay angry.

Your feelings are accurate. You were betrayed. You can't change what has happened. You can change feeling alone by connecting with friends and family. Some people suggest dating right away, but that was disastrous for me. I made my life and someone else's life worse by seeing someone before dealing with the garbage of my marriage and divorce. What did help was connecting with any friends that were supportive and making new ones when I could. Keep talking.

Focus on yourself, don't worry about dating, friends or anything but you. Try to do things for yourself that will make you a better you. Read self improvement books, eat healthier, work out, get a better job etc. Positive momentum, will bring more positive things in your life and will compound on itself, the best revenge is a life well lived. Make her eat her heart out by being better than ever! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.👊

Honestly, when someone hurts you like that...I'm not sure you really ever do. For me, it's been 2.5 years since final, 3.5 since separation, aaaand I'm still pissed. Hell, I even won!!

With time though, dealing with it is much easier. It gets nothing more than a moment's attention anymore. But, it's certainly still there, lurking in the shadows!

Having anger for someone in your heart is the same as you drinking poison and hoping the other person dies.

Find someone to talk to. There are tons of people who are getting licensed for counseling that have the same education as counselors and lower rates.

It’s going to hurt for a while, brother. There is no possible way to sugar coat this fact.

You don’t need to go out. If your way of coping is being solitary....so be it. As long as your health doesn’t suffer.

Eat well. Sleep as much as you can, whenever you can. Try to get as much exercise as possible throughout the day. These are important.

It’s gonna get better. That’s cliche as fuck, but it’s the truth. Just please don’t expect it to be like a light switch. It’s just going to slowly fade. Eventually, you find that you made it an entire day without giving the past a thought.
