"Forces sex" sounds so awkward, too. Like "forces inhaling water" instead of "drowning". It's like they're going out of their way not to call it "rape" or "sexual abuse" like it actually is

Some people are so stuck on the myth that women can't rape men or boys that they'll do everything to avoid acknowledging it, even in a clear black and white case like a woman raping a man under the threat of a deadly weapon

Based on just personal observations about men and women I feel like the reason rape is not used to describe unwanted sex from a woman is because there often is not the level of emotional trauma associated with it. I'm not saying it isn't rape, because it is, only that the word rape is associated with a strong traumatic experience, and because guys may not be as traumatized, the words "forced to have sex" can a better descriptor. Having a machete held against you could be traumatizing, but the act itself not. A more traumatizing sexual experience to me would be if she did it to get pregnant or if she gave a disease or even did sexual acts that he didn't like, such as violating him anally. Again definitely rape and should be charged as such, only arguing the use of words in the article make sense to me.

EDIT: I want to clarify that the above article is indeed rape and the woman should be prosecuted for her crimes. Non-consenting sex is rape. I am only suggesting the use of the words Forced sex is ok to use as it does mean rape despite it being less harsh sounding.

I am not suggesting men cannot be traumatized by "made to penetrate" rape where both parties are adults. Sex or sexual assault on children can be very traumatizing even if done by a woman to a boy and perpetrators should be prosecuted.

I base my THEORY of men on average being less psychologically affected by "made to penetrate"rape on the emotions I feel when hearing about both types of rape, from what I've heard regarding the long lasting effects to women who have been raped and comments I recently heard by evolutionary Biologists Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying in their Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

I've since looked for more information on psychological effects from victims of made to penetrate rape and how they compare to the traditional female rape victims. I haven't found any which focus on this but I also have not looked to hard yet. If anyone has information please share and I will be more than happy to take a look and educate myself properly.
