I don't know many women who are actually attracted to the huge, bulky roided look. None of my friends date men you're describing. Do that many women swoon over someone like Gregor Clegane or Terry Hollands? I've dated one (out of many men), and while he was handsome, I much prefer other body types to his. Yes, I prefer to date men who are physically fit and active, but I lean more towards slender runner bodies.

I honestly don't think women care that much. Yes women like to go crazy over guys like Hemsworth or Cavil, but they don't really expect most men to look like that. Any woman that only cares about a guys physique isn't worth taking seriously in the first place.

As for bigorexia, just do the best you can, train hard eat well and women will notice. It's important not to centre your whole identity around being 'the buff guy' because there will always be someone bigger than you.

The "superhero action movies" you speak of are all directed by men. Women are not exactly the ones setting these standards.

I've never seen a dude in real life with the body of Chris Hemsworth or any of the other ones that I don't care enough to learn their names. I'm aware that these guys only exist in Hollywood and bodybuilding competitions and I think most other women are also. We won't drop our current man at the drop of a hat just because the veins of another dude's bicep are more visible.

The muscular male body has been glorified for centuries (just look at Ancient Greece and Rome for reference) and mostly by other men too.
