Because feminists are always talking up a storm and making pretensions that feminism is not about women, its about equality and is for men just as much as women. Its not. Its actively hostile to the interests of men and seek to promote female privilege wherever it goes.

Now, If they acknowledged that they work for the sole benefit and privilege of women I would have less issue with it, fighting for your own interests is fine to a degree, but this pretension that they are fighting not for themselves, but a higher cause, that they are fighting for me, and for others while the reality is that they would never lift a finger for anything that is not directly beneficial to them and is actively hostile to the needs of men, galls me. Its frankly disgusting, the lies and pretensions of it all.

So yeah, when they talk up a storm how they fight for men too, then yeah we should expect them to do so and condemn for their failure to do so.

You're forgetting one thing: feminism has absolute dominance when it comes to gender discussion. They have their voice in media, they have government and corporation backing, and they all the time claim they are for gender equality. If you bring up men issues you're gonna get told that feminists are fighting for it already. It is important to call the out on being only for women's right and not for gender equality.

Err .. YES? Feminists have institutional Power gathered over 100 years of Feminism. What the fuck do we have, this Subreddit!? How is it fair to expect 50% of humanity(Men) to be content with having FUCKING NOTHING while Feminism has million dollar NGOs and Govt Institutions Working for Women!? I pay taxes, may i ask why it can't go to help my Gender!?? Majority of suicide victims are Men and I haven't heard a single politician or even a popular celebrity talk about how Men are the more vulnerable victims.

Instead of sharing the massive institutional power Feminists have, we Men have to start from SCRATCH!? Okay, I'm ready to start from SCRATCH like the suffragettes! ARE YOU!?

What we can/should do instead is to help people acknowledging the existence of men's issues

Step#1 Is rejecting Feminist/Traditionalist brainwashing that Women are the oppressed class and Men are privileged oppressors.

Some people* would rather be edgy trolls and that doesn't help our cause.

Exposing feminist Misandry is helping Men... It can be done with jokes, memes or serious posts. As long as it gets the point across, it's all fine.

Or just because they think leftists dare to challenge (rigid) gender roles.

If you read between the lines, you would have noticed that Feminists enforce the Male Gender Role with more Zeal than an African Warlord.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Nobody was asking feminists what they’re doing for men until they started that PR campaign claiming feminism is about men too.

I think another big factor is feminists just ran out of legitimate women’s issues to fight for, equality wasn’t good enough, so they’re trying to further boost sympathy for women by appropriating the oppression of others. We hear “intersectional feminism” all the time, but do we ever hear “intersectional BLM”? Of course not, because black people are still fighting for legitimate issues without needing to appropriate the oppression of others.

Feminists seem to think that the more groups they claim to be fighting for, the more they can use the plights of those people to boost the relevancy of feminism, and thereby the status of women. It’s scummy.

It is because there are two kinds of feminists: feminist egalitarians and feminist supremacists.

The feminist egalitarians believe the slogan that feminism is for equality, exemplified by Emma Watson's "If you stand for equality, you're a feminist." Many of us here used to belong to this group.

But feminist supremacists are not in practice egalitarian but actively engage in misandry, downplaying or denying male issues, lobbying to fund only projects for women and to make laws that only benefit women. For examples see the recent topics on double standards in the justice system. Unfortunately it is this group that is overwhelmingly represented in feminist activist leadership, in academia, and in politics.

MRAs and feminists are improving quality of life for both sides. A more equal society is better for everyone. Even if you are only fighting for your side.

If less men are killing themselves or incarcerated disproportionately, that's good for women too.

If women are becoming more engaged in the workplace and can help support a family, that's good for men too.

If the stigma around mental health is removed for men and women, that benefits the other.

The idea that there is only x support and men and women need to fight over it like junk yard dogs is foolish. Both sides elevate their group and all of society benefits from that elevation.

If they would mind their own business, I'd mind my own. But unfortunately they can't decide at all on what feminism is and accuse each other of not being feminists. Some say you can only be misogynist or feminist and others say that me attempting to "abuse the feminist movement for my own advantage" would be misogynist and robs them of their movement.

It is really frustrating because none of the two get the issue at all, as to them, the others aren't real and therefore should not influence my decisions at all - though those others think the same about them.

*Edit: I'm referring to people who are anti-feminists just for the sake of that. Or just because they think leftists dare to challenge (rigid) gender roles.

I'm an egalitarian with a focus on men's issues. Proper feminists are just egalitarians with a focus on women's issues.
