I'd go out a lot more if any of my friends would be down for it. So I can't be dependent on them on this matter.

This evening after gym, I went out solo to a bar I rarely frequent, as my favorite place is closed tonight. I got in there and took a seat at the bar.

Note, I don't know how you guys have it in the U.S., but where I live, going out in groups is pretty much the social norm. Rarely anyone goes out alone, and is usually looked upon as creepy. It's sort of part of our culture.

I sat around fifteen mintues then downed the beer quickly, as I felt HUGE pressure and uneasiness and went home. I failed miserably. In order to gain confidence on going alone, I knew I had to start somewhere. Tried to converse with the bartender (quite hot she was), music was too loud so I dropped it, it started to get cringy.

So yeah, my final intent is someday being comfortable going out to bars on my own. Every time I hooked up with a girl when in town, I was within my social circle, or at least around some aquaintances.
