someone messaged asking about what the scam was, but I can't see her message so I'll reply here:

The scam was basically a dude LARPing as a single mom who's about to be homeless, begging for money from others, luring them off of Reddit and onto other communication apps like snapchat or kik.

They target women on women's subs and once they reveal that they're not a single mom, it's too late, the women have given him enough info for him to harass, doxx, or stalk/abuse them.

this woman's account history was riddled with personal information and when her post blew up to the /all subreddit - incels began harassing, stalking, threatening, doxxing, and blackmailing her using the info she's commented and posted on.

Thats terrifying..and oddly enough, just a couple days ago I got a PM from someone saying they were a single parent, hard times covid and all, ashamed to have to ask for money but at an all time low etc etc.

I just rejected the PM and moved on, but would not be surprised if this is what their deal was. Cause I dont know them from jack, new account with two very random sounding posts.
