Here's one for you guys: Women gets an abortion after her and her partner agree to having kids. Commenters keep repeating "her body, her choice". People sympthazing with the man get down voted.

I dont think that's accurate, plenty of sympathetic comments are high up. In fact a lot of the 'her body her choice' comments are downvoted.

I feel for the guy, having your partner back out and abort your child is horrible. Yes he doesnt have the same power she does in that situation, it's almost like we are biologically different...

Girls should have every right to abort a baby growing in their body.

Boys should have every right to sue the girl for emotional damages due to killing their child.

I agree that women should have the right to have an abortion.

At the same time though a father(unless the child was conceived due to rape/molestation) should have equal say on the matter.

I feel that courts should start having hearings regarding abortion just like they do hearings about custody.

Obviously they didn't actually agree to having kids if she got an abortion... I'm sure if she really wanted kids at that time, she would've had them. They may have agreed but she felt pressured, or they both wanted kids at one point and then things changed between them/life circumstances. It's always possible that the man assumed she wanted to have children when they never actually talked about it.

It's hard to say without knowing the whole situation, but an abortion isn't the end of the line. They can still have kids later if that's truly what they both want.
