Because they can afford to. Not men though.

Good point. And it's amazing how many people fall for the sympathy play on women and fail to recognize that it is female privilege that enables women to drop out of the workplace.

Drops toy to the ground. I don’t want to work, it’s not fun anymore.

"I do not like depending on the government and I'm sure the other moms in my position feel the same way. There has to be something that the government can figure out to help us."

I...you...what now?

In any committed relationship involving dependents, there is always a compromise necessary to make it work.

One spouse can't be stay-at-home unless the other is willing to put in more effort (ie: work more hours, out of town, etc) to support the entire family.

This typically also means that the SAH spouse has to take on the lion's share of duties that are required to run a household.

I have worked with people that commute long-distance, who were, unfortunately, expected to do more work at home during their days off.

Did they drop out of the workforce, because they all signed up to OnlyFans?

Good for them.

I wonder if some of it is that many women decided they like not working. I used to be a stay at home mom. I went back to work part time, but my industry was shut down by COVID. It made me realize how much I loved not working. We could eat dinner as a family again. We had our weekends free (and not spent cleaning because I had time to do that). My husband makes more so it would makes sense that I’m not one that doesn’t work.

This pandemic unfortunately has hit families really hard. I had to change my hours drastically because of finding child care. my husband had to change his hours a little. I’m the primary caregiver so my career is out on hold. But I signed up for it by having kids in the first place.

These reports do not provide the detailed analysis necessary to support the assumptions proposed by the reporters. This appears to be cherry picking of data to support predetermined political beliefs. This kind of incomplete naive reporting is emotive but rarely useful.

Missing from this report are answers to basic questions; why are these women no longer looking for work? what are the demographics and industry background of these women? how many hours of work were they previously employed for?

For example. If these women were mostly employed for a few hours a week, then the numbers (600k+) are far less meaningful. If they are mostly related to a particular industry with periodic seasonal downturns, this may simply be a normal event. Was this a correction for disparities in prior months when men were disproportionately leaving the workforce?

When these issues are addressed in the report, the authors resort to ideological memes without supporting evidence, the self evident feminist truths that are based on ideology rather than measurable facts.

Unrelated, but I had that blue computer at home and it sucks. 28gb hard drive? Really HP?

I guess the single dads can just go fuck themselves...

Crying baby gets milk. These feminists keep whining all the time to enjoy unlimited privileges by showcasing themselves as victims. They don’t have ability and will to work hard as men but want same pay. If there is pay gap why would companies hire only women without any pressure from welfare state.
