This is how I learn about new songs:

  1. I vaguely hear the melody of a new pop song on the radio. "Hey, that's pretty catchy. Let's find out what's the title!"
  2. Finding out the title... - "Ava Max: Kings and Queens"
  3. Contemplating... "Ok, maybe it's about her being his queen, and him being her king, and them being happily in love, or something like that..."
  4. Disappointment...
    "If all of the kings had their queens on the throne
    We would pop champagne and raise a toast [...]
    No damsel in distress, don't need to save me
    Once I start breathin' fire, you can't tame me
    And you might think I'm weak without a sword
    But if I had one, it'd be bigger than yours"

Seriously... I'm just fucking tired. Why does EVERYTHING have to be about hating men, and making fun of men, and women being better than men... Why? It's so annoying. I can't watch a movie anymore without seeing these tropes. I can't listen to a goddamn trash pop song, I can't download it onto my phone, because I get angry just listening to the lyrics.
