A big trend I've noticed with pro-circumcision types is they get very agressive when circumcision is called mutilation and it's obvious they're taking it personally because they don't want to admit that's what happened to them.

As a result very often the response by them even women that support this practice is to try and claim that uncircumcised guys are abnormal and try to pressure them and shame them into doing it. Funny how they act like it's such a bad thing to talk about and yet they're perfectly happy to try and body shame men in response to any criticism of the practice.

There's something so telling about how there isn't more outrage surrounding the practice of circumcision. It's just become naturalised.

I've been called "incel" "neckbeard" "fascist" and lots of other buzzwords for speaking out against circumcision.

The men on my dad's side of the family are not circumcised. My dad, his dad, his brothers and their sons aren't circumcised. My dad fought with my mom to make sure I was left intact. One of my cousins decided to get circumcised because a girl he dated preferred it. He ended up losing a lot of sensation in his penis, his erections weren't as hard, and he noticed he stopped producing precum. The girl left him shortly after and he was left not enjoying himself as he did before.

I was circumcised. I had no choice. Am I supposed to feel bad? Would “knowing what I’m missing” make it worse?

We do we just get belittled and told it's not important its not the same as femaile genital mutilation. Or that it's not the place because we are talking about women's issues

I’m glad I still have my for skin . I’ve heard horror stories of circumcision gone wrong and the dude can’t feel anything at the tip or glands

I had a Health class in year 7 so that's 6th grade. They covered FGM but when I asked about circumcision the teacher said it was 'beneficial' and that it was okay. It seems as though they brush over this and accept that it's 'going to be there anyway'

I think of it similar to how I view my tatoos, not a detriment but more of an addition to my body. Go ahead and call it “denial”. But every girl I’ve ever slept with has said that she prefers circumcised to uncircumcised. So I’ll take it and I’ll never regret having it done.

Sorry that we’re not lamenting the loss of our foreskins to your liking but we are the victims so we should probably go with how our instincts guide us and not by your impressions about how we should behave...
