Number 1: flip the age of when social security payouts happen. Currently it pays women earlier than men. Given men have less life they should start receiving retirement pay earlier, not later.

The knowledge of gender difference in disease progression and outcomes can affect screening.

Our general practices in New Zealand have a target to screen men for cardiovascular disease at 55 years of age, women at 60.

I have no other examples.

Is there any solution to this problem that can curtail this issue?

I don't think workplace fatalities and the like are the causes for men dying earlier than women. What actions should be taken to reduce this gap?

Men smoking more and being more obese is part of the statistics too. As well as the deaths by suicide and opioid abuse.

Btw: what does this sub believe about why do men smoke so much?
