Without brigading this sub, has anyone experienced dating or a relationship where the woman practiced its philosophy?

Mens rights are unpopular opinions. We have a lot of organizing to do do if we truly seek change.

I actually thought this was satire. It's not. This is how valid scientific research can be pushed into a destructive narrative.

Fucking hell! These standards are ridiculous! And they wonder why men don't date them.

[–]Melthengylf 3 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They do date them. They are women, they put a picture in Tinder and get dozens.

Well there are men desperate enough. Like that retard who bought the fucking mail bride from Russia, which becamse a meme of a turbo gold digger.

But they hardly fall into the "high value" definition.

The closest i've seen this strategy to succeed was a family when mom and dad didn't like each other, and were quite open about it that they are here only for the money.

But: a) It worked because BOTH treated family as collective endeavour/business
b) It still went tits up when their child learnt the truth.

The FDS advices would work only for losers with findom fetish and cuckolds, most people who are actually successful, will see right through the bullshit.

This is like women's version of the Red Pill.

I imagine the sub is made up of the same people who post things like "A QUEEN DEMANDS A KING TO SERVE HER" followed by several "mmhmmm's"

We've all met shady, entitled and manipulative people before. It's the hypocritical double-standards in how their subreddits gets to stand, because it's run by and for women that gets to me.

Yeah I looked through the sub and man is there ever a lot of hate. You get negative stereotyping in /r/MensRights, one reason I don't like the sub, but at a rate of maybe 1 in 5? On a bad day? As opposed to the sub referred to above where every. single. comment. is negatively stereotyping men or just saying some truly awful shit against them. The fact that it and several other subs I could name are not quarantined speaks to some heavy cultural bias.

That's a good way of putting it, thanks.

The fact that it and several other subs I could name are not quarantined speaks to some heavy cultural bias.

Uh-huh.

And yet, despite this, Warren Farrel is in trouble with the MensLib-type of folks for the fact that his The Myth of Male Power featured a naked butt of a young women on a picture, in an effort to remind the reader that women hold a lot of power over men in ways that aren't "being numerous among political and C-suite leaders".

The Beautiful Boy

The Beautiful Boy (or just The Boy) is a book by Germaine Greer, published in 2003. Its avowed intention was "to advance women's reclamation of their capacity for and right to visual pleasure". It is a study of the youthful male face and form, from antiquity to the present day, from paintings and drawings to statuary and photographs.

The cover picture caused minor controversy when the subject of the photograph, Björn Andrésen, a Swedish actor and musician who played Tadzio in Death in Venice (billed by the director Luchino Visconti as "the most beautiful boy in the world") stated in the press that he objected to the picture having been used without his permission. The book contains some 200 pictures of boys through the ages, and is a history of boys in art.

I find the double-standard much more objectionable than the book itself.

[–]rannerbeer 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You can thank the left for the current double standards.

[–]mewacketergi 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The double-standards most annoying to us as men's advocates — yes, currently, they are on the left, but it's healthy to keep in mind that the right also has it's own, in other areas.

I've observed a few. They telegraph their intentions pretty hard, so unfortunately there must be a fair number of men willing to be abused in these kinds of ways.

I think it would be hard to end up in a relationship with an FDS devotee unless you deliberately elected to; though I'm sure there's at least a few successful manipulators amongst them.

I believe I've run across women like this, but we have sized each other up and both decided "nope" from across the room without needing to exchange a word.
