Tell them that the ratio of men vs women killing themselves is the opposite of that associated with intimate partner murder.

Consider the effort made by society to fix the issue in both cases. We target almost all dv victim resources toward women. We don't do anything specific for male suicide.

I run a men's centre. We have 5 projects that all are relevant in reducing suicide in our region. These should be being done for men in every country but aren't.

I'll note that the other specialist social services largely care for women as well. 30 or 40 years of that kind of effort has an impact on a culture. The same with 30 or 40 years of neglect.

Imagine how things would look if we had put a similar effort into caring for men?

It's insane how far feminists are willing to spin their anti-male narrative. It couldn't possibly be because men have worse lives, are more desperate or experience disproportionate amounts of suffering, it's because "they don't care about cleaning up after themselves". As if that was actually a relevant factor in suicide(people who are committed to killing themselves probably aren't too bothered about clean-up, male or female). Never mind the fact that a lot of male suicide could be done through "clean" means(suffocation or carbon monoxide poisoning, for example) or that a lot of men committing suicide probably feel a great deal of guilt over the mess they leave behind when killing themselves.

Women attempt suicide ~3 times as often but men die from suicide ~3 times as often.

Women are more inclined to choose the gentler less effective methods (overdose), as opposed to men who prefer more violent but more decisive methods. Put simply, women's suicide attempts are ineffectual compared to men's.

Men use more effective methods to commit suicide because they want the trouble (for themselves and others) to end. Women use less effective methods, because they want the trouble to continue, yet seek more attention out of it.

Because when a man deals with mental health issues, society blames toxic masculinity. Essentially telling a suicidal male it’s his entire genders fault he is suicidal, and that he needs to stand up and fight the patriarchy.

When a female is suicidal they get actual help.

I'd say it's pretty obvious and self evident why women typically fail in what appears to be suicide attempts. Women don't want to die.

Men know that if they survive a suicide attempt, what waits for them is hardly supportive. Far more likely to be ridiculed and called "selfish". For a man to survive a suicide is tragic. You wouldn't want to survive it. Would you want to face the government appointed feminist therapist after botching an attempt? Didn't think so!

So, if you actually want to die, you will be more likely to succeed.

I suppose if there were evidence, you could try and demonstrate what happens to men who attempt suicide vs women. What the associated shame is like, and how they might feel afterward. But if you are arguing with a female supremacist, forget it. You can't argue with someone who isn't rational.

If you commit suicide with the goal of making others feel guilty, you will want to stick around to see the results. What good is "revenge" if you were yo die in the process?

If you commit suicide because life sucks, no one cares and you don't want to be here, your results will probably reflect that.

Because they don’t really want to suicide, they want to be put in a state where the tribe can see there is a problem to fix, making the suicidal woman an object of attention of many, making is life a « movie » in wich she has no control over, so she doesn’t have to grow and be an adult, but stay the eternal victim at tribe charge and never take responsibility.

A man make a rational choice to end his life because of rational reason, and because he have the will to decide, act and take responsibility for the choice and action to take, he decide to use an effective tool to accomplish the task.

Because he isnt a child looking for attention, he’s an adult looking to resolve a problem.

Between finding someone hanging or seemingly asleep in bed (as overdoses are often portrayed), the pills might appear as the kinder option. There also might be a lack of access or knowledge (for example, more men might already own ropes/guns and be more comfortable in using them).
