Just read this article about the debate of Spain’s domestic violence laws. I don’t know much about Vox so I’m NOT a Vix supporter, but from what I’ve read about Spain’s domestic violence laws, it seems like a very scary situation for men

Under the current laws, men go to jail automatically if accused, even without evidence. Men can be convicted without evidence- the only evidence required is for the woman to maintain her testimony. There doesn’t need to be any evidence of any kind. The laws only go one way- women’s violence against men isn’t included, and men have much less legal protection.

Women who make these accusations are given housing, a government job, and 400 euros a month.

This is all without any need of evidence of proof whatsoever. I chatted from a uni friend who lives in Spain, he confirmed- men are shamed for talking about it, but many choose not to date. Many others feel controlled by their wives/girlfriends and are not free. He also says that in practice, men don’t have protection from domestic violence at all, and its common for girlfriends to be violent against their boyfriends.

These laws seem like the opposite of equality to me. If I was a man in Spain, I’d be terrified to date. This law seems to breach every EU rule on discrimination and gender equality.

Or am I missing something here?
