I was told that being a parent (mother or father) needed sacrifice and putting the needs of the children before those of oneself. Now, if having one's own sexual needs met makes them "better wives and better mothers", the same can be said of men and fathers to promote infidelity in marriage.

Marriage as an institution means something. If being sexually active is what you want in your marriage, you can always talk, consult a medical professional and make a very active sexual life with your spouse. That doesn't require cheating at all. If such a high priority is placed on your feelings, why stop there?

Having one's violent needs met, makes them better fathers.
Having one's public nuisance needs met makes them better grandmothers.
Having one's drug/ narcotic needs met makes them better uncles.
