Hey fellas, I wanted to get your take on a post I made to the reddit divorce forum: https://www.reddit.com/r/Divorce/comments/dudnll/help_deciding_who_should_get_the_house/

The short story is I have been the only person working for the past 10 years due to her refusal to get a job or education. She chose to stay home with our 3 kids and we are now at the point of divorce. I purchased a home for our family which she will not be able to afford post divorce due to no recent job history and not being able to qualify for a refinance in her name due to income and no recent credit history. My initial thought was to allow our kids the ability to come back to their current rooms when they come to visit me since I will likely not be awarded primary custody. She will have to take my child support and alimony payments to afford whatever rental house/apartment that will afford. Am I wrong for not selling the house? To me it doesn't make sense to have both of us start a search for a new place to live as long as I can afford our current house after my support payments to her. In an ideal world, if she had a good paying job and credit to take over the existing loan, I'd just sign over the house to her and find a new place, but this isn't the case. I'm curious what some of you have done in my situation.
