Yes, unequivocally yes. Instead of her and me taking she jumps on her phone and falls asleep. When she’s tired, instead of sex she searches for some bullshit on it before she falls asleep. I have no control over the situation, I just watch it happen.

Yes. Looking back on it all it was all about her social media. It was all just props for her timeline.

Thats it. All of those huge moments of my life were simply short dopamine hits for her via social media. And when I couldnt generate any more for her it became:

_ new boyfriend ( poor sap hs no idea what he's in for)

All just props.

Yep. She would sit on the couch on her tablet and be absorbed into facebook and candy crush for hours. I would try to talk but she wouldn't lift her head from it. Meanwhile she would bitch about me playing video games or watching YouTube. Yet I would stop doing it if she came over to me, but it rarely happened after the phone. I can't say I'm blameless. I bought thr things. I also used to go on at my in laws house after some time or when out and about, but I tried to make time for her. Yet apparently to her I didnt. Of course she never could admit anything, apologize or show appreciation for anything. Shit was good before the tablets and phones came into the picture. We met and only had dumb phones.

As for social media. I would see things and try to strike up conversations about bullshit PC outrage culture and how their were puritan weirdos deplatforming people and needing safe spaces and all sorts of bullshit. She didnt want to hear it. And said to not talk to her about that sort of thing. I felt like the world had gone insane around me. I didnt change but people did. Including her.

I think people are responsible for their choices, but her media consumption did not help. She was letting herself sink in depression, spend tons of productivity hours watching the most asinine shows about midgets and wealthy socialites.

It affected her thinking, permeated into her choices. Sometimes she would say things that sounded nothing like the intelligent, generous and sensitive person she used to be. Then on the phone I know she spent more time talking to other people "invested" in the midget and socialites shows, following the asinine plots and gossip. From there who knows what other online communities that led to, but she did put more and more time into the phone.

She was making some terrible food choices too, mostly supported by idiots online. Had decided that the way to health was eating nothing but carbs. She was basically giving herself diabetes. Then she started to measure it with a glucose meter and effectively her glucose meter was spiking and she was borderline diabetic. But talking to her about her food choices was a taboo topic, again, not like the intelligent, caring and reasonable person I married, but this new beast borne of some other indoctrination. I really hope she's fixed her eating habits. It would be a crying shame if she ultimately did give herself diabetes out of sheer social media stupidity.

My wife slept with her phone under her pillow.

So yes, it contributed.

She was keeping it safe from my prying eyes while she messaged someone else.

My wife ruined the marriage.

The phone was just an accessory.

Don't blame the tech. Blame the person who made the decision to mess around.
