Domestic abuse is first and foremost about manipulation and control, isn't it? The physical aspect is just another means to that end. If an abuser isn't physically beating you up, it's because that's against their "strategy". Provoking physical violence instead can be used to guilt trip. And making the abused think they are at fault, according to my impression, seems to be a hallmark of domestic abuse, regardless of direction.

Also, can we appreciate the hypocricy of this coming out of the ideology that targets "microagressions" and equates physical and "psychological violence" (by which they tend to mean "insult") as the same severity when it's convenient for them so they can justify violence based on your word choice?

Lets ignore that in America, up to 70% of non reciprocated DV(physical) is initiated by women.

Lets also discount any studies based in first world countries because....uhhh....Hmm, i don't know, because they don't like it, i guess.
