The brother of one of my best friends found out when his daughter was 6 that she was not his biological offspring. The mother almost certainly knew this the whole time, but he was a much better meal ticket. She thought she'd divorce him and keep the gravy train going, but someone tipped him off. He was heartbroken, but at least he didn't have to spend the rest of his life under the thumb of such a horrible person.

I never really had any doubts with my boy, but my sister had her own suspicions so to rule it out for everyone's peace of mind we did a DNA test confirming that he's mine. I laugh now because he looks so much like me and his grandpa at that age.

Listen, you have a duty to your sons of course, but if you don't take care of yourself you won't be much use to anyone. Can't their mom drive and meet you halfway some time? Anything you can do to make yourself healthier, happier, and wealthier will ultimately be for your best and your boys as they get into the teen/college years.

Maybe you and the mom can become civil, even think of each other as coparents still, but if not just avoid her entirely. Even when the mom gets everything she could ask for in court she can still be crazy unreasonable and make your life hell if you let her.

Stay tough. And kind to your boys.

Document everything mate no matter how small, 360 camera could help as well it'll show exactly who is there at all times its recording and that way you cant be accused of coaching.

Insta 360 have some good ones I own the onex but there's loads out there for all budgets

I recorded my daughter telling me that her mother told her to stop calling me dad and call her new fiance dad instead. Some women can be nasty and wicked people, never back down and don't stop fighting the good fight.
