what the FUCK

[–]DJ-Roukan 15 points16 points17 points 7 years ago* (17 children) | Copy Link

This is the FUCK. This is feminism in effect. Fellas, think for a minute here.

First, it was no accident that the Gillette ad dropped at the same time as the APA guidelines declaring all masculinity toxic and in need of cure. The Wrap-up smear. Both done by feminist. One creates the lie, then it's pounded home in the media...and becomes believed.

Second is that the attacker did exactly what they demanded of men in that ad, which is, of course, the real toxic masculinity. They portrayed, falsely, men cooking out, kids playing in the grass, as toxic masculinity..which is amazing because, Shepard Bliss the man that created the term stated just the opposite, that men need to rediscover their "wildness" in exactly the way those two boys were playing. He also stated that such "misogyny" as men cooking out together is exactly what men need to restore, that male community and tradition.

They then declare that stepping in, accosting another male that you "perceive" as guilty, which is about as dangerous a move as a man could make, is the "new masculinity"...again, the very definition of Bliss's Toxic Masculinity. Think of the risk, because a guy that is truly harassing a women would surely become physical with an untrained man that laid his hands on him saying, "not cool, not cool". Hell, I'd tell that guy to go fuck himself.

I honestly thought we'd end up with some random man-bun dead for stepping in, but it's worse, he was the judge, jury, executioner. The white knight killed an innocent man under their direction of Gillette's defintion of good masculinity. They are teaching exactly the Toxic Masculinity that Bliss spoke about, and this is an example of the result.

The kicker is that they are now getting us to kill each other for them, one man dead, one man in jail. Who cares, two less men...and to hell with the sadness of the woman who will spend the rest of her life grieving as long as they gain a win for, "team woman", or "feminism" . Collateral damage in their one sided war.

On top of al that, of course, the bobble headed females in the media (note they were all female) sit there like deer in the headlights telling us how "surprisingly tragic this is" as if it was random and not agenda driven ideology infesting society that they themselves helped to promulgate previously by supporting such as "MeToo", "Toxic Masculinity", and every lie about men they've conjured.

This is not a movement to "help" women. It is hurting them every day, and it is killing us....and this is not random violence, it is FUBAR, and we need to wake up, and then wake the world up to the kind of Nazi like agenda that we are facing.

I think you're misunderstanding the term "toxic masculinity": It's actually referring to morons like this who act violently for no justifiable reason assuming themselves to be the white knight.

As a feminist, i can assure you that "having racist morons run around beating up our husbands for no reason" is not a feminist position!

I mean, seriously: That poor woman was standing there having a discussion with her husband when some random guy decided to kill her husband. I mean, she's probably grateful that guy didn't also rape her after killing her husband in front of her eyes but she certainly didn't procclaim "hooray for feminism" because of that!

Even if we were that evil conspiracy aiming to strip away all men's rights while we establish matriarchy - we'd still have an interest in keeping nutcases like this from killing our guys for no good reason!

And about #metoo:

Every(!) woman has their own story like this, even though some are lucky to only have experienced casual molestation and discrimination. Most of my friends have at some point of their lives been sexually abused or even raped, none of them publicly acknowledges it and especially towards men, they don't talk because men have a tendency to go "white knight" like the dude in this article once they find out that a female friend or relative of theirs has been the victim of a sexual crime. That's what we call "toxic masculinity": Pretending the problem doesn't exist until you can't pretend anymore and then you have to smash something to control your anger (which does not solve a problem).

And saying that isn't the same as saying that any of you guys in this sub is a rapist or in any other way not a decent human being!

Probably, you're actually treating women as equals and from that perspective, you just find it extremely unfair that feminists keep bashing on toxic men. But we're not talking about you, there. We are talking about that dude you know from work who has that kind of sexist humor but has NEVER actually mistreated a woman in your presence - because he knows that as a decent person you wouldn't tolerate that, so he's waiting until your gone to go full creep.

We're not trying to eliminate all guys like this poor dude who was just having a discussion with his wife.

We are trying to stop the guy who molested your sister (which she never told you about because she was afraid you'd ruin your life by killing him) from doing it again and again. Or how about your wife/girlfriend's abusive ex-partner? Isn't it strange how you always end up with women who were unlucky to have experienced such terrible things before they met you? Isn't it even stranger that so do your friends? It almost feels like they're all telling the same story ... must be some kind of conspiracy!

What feminism is trying to fight is an outdated societal system in which men are supposed to be willing to sacrifice their lives at any second when it means they can save the life of a female or child by doing so, while a woman is supposed to tolerate any kind of abuse (as long as it doesn't impact her ability to bear children!) in order to repay for that kind of protection.

This is what "patriarchy" actually means for men:

You're being trained to become warriors willing to go into your death at the behest of a woman who repays you with sexual favours. And that training is still so deeply rooted inside of your brains that you don't even realize the extent to which you are screwing yourself over. I don't mean this as an insult but the whole men's rights movement still basically screams "we have some valid points but we'd be willing to forget about all of this if you offer us enough sex in return".

Haven't you asked yourself how it's possible that even though most important positions in world-wide politics are still being controlled by men, men's rights activists are taken about as serious as black-out drunk feminists?

Are you certain that the feminists, who you accknowledge (-> link in the side bar) to be also pro men's rights but who you think should accknowledge that they created the problem which they also want to fix but consider an effect of patriarchical structures, are really your enemies in this? ...

How would you say the Duluth Model and other feminist systems factor into this will to help men? And why do feminists have nothing to say about men who are victims of predatory toxic women who use them and dump them? I met a man at the train station who was begging money for a ticket home after a women drained him dry and dropped him. Why do the lectures men get from feminists not line up to your view? They all say men need to step up - which men interpret as being a call to more self sacrifice....

Also, the sub has a strong aversion to sex with toxic women like that.

[–]DJ-Roukan 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Have you noticed lately, now that we are making gains, winning the this war they started, they are no longer laughing, ridiculing...but want to talk and be friends?

As predictable as a watch, and not even worth your time in discussion.

Yeah, they do seem to be. I've caught them trying to take credit for stuff we do that they oppose as well.

> How would you say the Duluth Model and other feminist systems factor into this will to help men?

According to Wikipedia, the Duluth Model is a US system meant to prevent domestic violence. Judging from my general perspective on the US legal system, i'd say that it's most likely to be heavily flawed. I would certainly not consider it as being representative of world-wide feminism as i've grown up in a feminist / post-feminist environment on another country and i've never heard about it until someone mentioned it as an anti-feminism argument in another sub a few days ago.

On any other systems, i can comment even less.

> And why do feminists have nothing to say about men who are victims of predatory toxic women who use them and dump them?

Well, why do men's right activists have nothing to say about men doing the same to women? If you think that we are responsible for every woman who is being a cunt, wouldn't that mean that we are also allowed to hold the men's rights movement responsible for every guy who is being a dick? :O

> I met a man at the train station who was begging money for a ticket home after a women drained him dry and dropped him.

Again, how is feminism responsible for that? People screwing over other people ruthlessly has thousands of years of tradition, so why is it suddenly our fault? And how is it even related to anything feminism stands for?

> Why do the lectures men get from feminists not line up to your view?

They do when i'm the one lecturing and when i'm saying the exact same things to feminists, they tend to agree with me. I think the major problem is men and women completely misunderstanding each other.

> They all say men need to step up - which men interpret as being a call to more self sacrifice....

which then women completely misunderstand as men mocking them since stepping up to us means caring better about your responsibilities which means that you also have to take best care of yourself in order to stay productive. So we wonder what you mean with self sacrifice and instead of asking, we assume that you are talking about not harassing us. There's simply a lot of unspoken mistranslation...

[–]Only2DaysLeft 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I think you're misunderstanding the term "toxic masculinity"

Toxic masculinity is not a real thing.  Some people behave poorly. Their behavior can be categorized as toxic.  Applying the adjective 'toxic' to the set of characteristics that apply to men, 'masculinity', is to say that all of those characteristics are toxic.

Now, many feminists will deny this truth by quickly backtracking with the claim that they aren't saying all masculinity is toxic.  However, they will not change the terminology to more accurately convey their meaning.

Why is that?

Because the term toxic masculinity is hate speech designed to vilify men for any action that is deemed unsatisfactory.  And they want it to remain available for any situation they dislike. It is a catch all phrase like the 'all women are like that' phrase.  Both are simply not true.

I mean, seriously: That poor woman was standing there having a discussion with her husband when some random guy decided to kill her husband. I mean, she's probably grateful that guy didn't also rape her after killing her husband in front of her eyes but she certainly didn't procclaim "hooray for feminism" because of that!

This is very sad.  You are portraying a woman who values her own safety over the death of her husband.  Instead of being outraged at the murder of her husband, you comment on her being grateful she wasn't raped.  Very selfish.

This is similar to saying the real victims of war are not the men who died by brutally painful war machines.  Rather, the women who now must live without a husband are the real victims.

Complete rubbish.

Dying a horrible death so that others can live is the ultimate sacrifice.

Even if we were that evil conspiracy aiming to strip away all men's rights while we establish matriarchy - we'd still have an interest in keeping nutcases like this from killing our guys for no good reason!

Feminism is an evil conspiracy.  Has been from the beginning.

[–]Only2DaysLeft 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Are you certain that the feminists, who you accknowledge (-> link in the side bar) to be also pro men's rights but who you think should accknowledge that they created the problem which they also want to fix but consider an effect of patriarchical structures, are really your enemies in this? ...

This is a train wreck of a question designed to confuse the subject.  Rephrase and try again.

i'd say that it's most likely to be heavily flawed.

If the Duluth model pushed into legislation by feminists is heavily flawed, it is reasonable to conclude feminism is heavily flawed.

Well, why do men's right activists have nothing to say about men doing the same to women?

The reality is that men hold men accountable more often than they don't. You yourself use this as an argument to say masculinity is toxic.

You don't want men to white knight but now you complain that men don't white knight.  Can't have it both ways.

Look at the judicial system.  When we compare the sentencing for men and women guilty of the same crime, who statistically receives the longer sentence?

If men receive longer sentences on average, is that not men holding men more accountable than women?

Some places are trying to get rid of women's prisons.  Are you protesting against that?

People screwing over other people ruthlessly has thousands of years of tradition, so why is it suddenly our fault?

Ah.  So here you defend feminism with "bad people doing bad things is not a reflection of feminism." But you still use the generalization of bad behavior by some men to be a reflection of all men with concept of toxic masculinity.

Nope.  Can't have it both ways.

[–]Only2DaysLeft 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

which then women completely misunderstand as men mocking them since stepping up to us means caring better about your responsibilities which means that you also have to take best care of yourself in order to stay productive.

This is interesting.

How exactly does somebody take better care of their responsibilities?  Typically with time or resources. They want to do [this] but they go to work instead or they do something else they'd rather not be doing.  We call that - sacrifice. I sacrifice my leisure time today to have more of something later on.

But you said earlier men shouldn't sacrifice for women.

What feminism is trying to fight is an outdated societal system in which men are supposed to be willing to sacrifice

If men aren't supposed to sacrifice, how are they to become better, more responsible?

What is the goal of men becoming more responsible?

Are women the responsibility of men?

If a man does as you describe, taking best care of himself, putting his needs and wants above that of everyone else, is he not then called self-centered, egotistical, or any other adjective you prefer?

How long will a woman stay with a man who's main concern in life is himself?

in order to stay productive.

Productive for who?  Why is his productivity the goal of his taking better care of his responsibilities?  Is a man not valuable for simply existing?

Again, if he focuses too much on himself and becomes highly productive for himself, he is accused of neglecting family and spouse.  If he isn't productive enough, he is accused of being lazy and irresponsible.

It is often said you can never satisfy a woman.  This sounds very true in this situation. A man must be this and that but not too much or too little and it varies from woman to woman how much he should be one way or another.

And then it changes on the day of the week and her mood and if he keeps up his responsibilities while also being sensitive to her needs and not being self-absorbed but staying highly productive somehow with enough energy to work hard on the job and improve his career while staying in shape and avoiding developing bad habits and spending plenty of time with the kids giving them love and attention but not too much or he is seen as creepy all while remaining charming and interesting with such lovely social skills and wonderful stories to tell and staying abreast of current affairs in local and national news never getting angry or yelling or exhibiting any of the dreaded toxic masculinity that he is bombarded with from all directions and being sure not to keep all this bottled up but to release it somehow without being a man-baby and falling to pieces and certainly never say the wrong thing at the wrong time or be insensitive for any reason because he should also master the ability to read minds and know exactly what she wants when she wants it so that maybe just maybe she will be willing to give him a blowjob.

Maybe.

Did he mow the lawn this week?

Take out the trash?

Read bedtime story?

Fix the sink?

Change the oil in the car?

Replace the brakes too?

YOU DIDN'T FIX THE BRAKES OMG I MIGHT DIE GOING TO WORK TOMORROW HOW IRRESPONSIBLE OF YOU!!!

Tonight he sleeps on the couch.

Because he couldn't do more, couldn't find a way to check all her boxes this week.

Gee, I wonder why male suicide has become an epidemic.  Must be all that toxic masculinity.

If men would just be more responsible and take better care of themselves........

[–]Only2DaysLeft 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And about #metoo:

Every(!) woman has their own story like this,

False.  This is nothing more than feminist propaganda.

Most of my friends have at some point of their lives been sexually abused or even raped

Instead of surrounding yourself exclusively with survivors of assault so you can experience confirmation bias, you could find some friends who have not been assaulted.  This way your worldview would not be out of balance.

That's what we call "toxic masculinity": Pretending the problem doesn't exist until you can't pretend anymore and then you have to smash something to control your anger (which does not solve a problem).

What you describe here happens to both men and women yet you falsely label it toxic masculinity.  You blame men for being out of control but fail to hold women accountable for the same behavior.

Why is that?

[–]Only2DaysLeft 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And saying that isn't the same as saying that any of you guys in this sub is a rapist or in any other way not a decent human being!

Yet you continue to generalize all masculinity as toxic.  You can't say masculinity is toxic then tell the same men they aren't toxic.  That makes no sense.

Probably, you're actually treating women as equals and from that perspective, you just find it extremely unfair that feminists keep bashing on toxic men.

Feminists do bash men.  This is true. They do not reserve their bashing for only a small group of men.  Do you know of Marylin French?

But we're not talking about you, there. We are talking about that dude you know from work who has that kind of sexist humor but has NEVER actually mistreated a woman in your presence - because he knows that as a decent person you wouldn't tolerate that, so he's waiting until your gone to go full creep.

So you use a global term to speak about a tiny fraction of people.  In essence you are saying all men are toxic, but not this one guy specifically, that is until he does something you don't like then he becomes part of the all men are toxic group.

To make a comparison, some men have had enough of the feminist bullshit.  They now regard all women as untrustworthy. So they categorically group all women based on the behavior of a few.  But not you. All women are like that - but not you. That is, not you until you behave like that one woman which now puts you in the all women are like that group.

Do you approve of this?  If not, why do you categorically group all men based on the actions of a few?

[–]Only2DaysLeft 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We're not trying to eliminate all guys like this poor dude who was just having a discussion with his wife.

If you find it ok to eliminate some men based on your criteria, that means it's ok to eliminate certain women based on other criteria?

Are you ok with that?

We are trying to stop the guy who molested your sister (which she never told you about because she was afraid you'd ruin your life by killing him) from doing it again and again. Or how about your wife/girlfriend's abusive ex-partner? Isn't it strange how you always end up with women who were unlucky to have experienced such terrible things before they met you? Isn't it even stranger that so do your friends? It almost feels like they're all telling the same story ... must be some kind of conspiracy!

Two errors.

• Appeals to emotion are not valid arguments

• Just because you surround yourself with assault survivors does not mean the world is divided into assault survivors and assault perpetrators.

Do you realize there actually are people who have never assaulted somebody or been assaulted by somebody?

They really do exist!

Great!  So men need to stop protecting women so women can protect themselves!

When will you be joining the military to protect your fellow citizens?

[–]Only2DaysLeft 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is what "patriarchy" actually means for men:

You're being trained to become warriors willing to go into your death at the behest of a woman who repays you with sexual favours.

Actually, the draft takes care of that.  Men can be forced to serve under threat of being guilty of treason if they refuse.

Women are also... wait, women are not forced to sign up force the draft.  How odd.

That must mean you are out there every day protesting to make it mandatory for women to register for the draft?

And that training is still so deeply rooted inside of your brains that you don't even realize the extent to which you are screwing yourself over. I don't mean this as an insult but the whole men's rights movement still basically screams "we have some valid points but we'd be willing to forget about all of this if you offer us enough sex in return".

You really don't get the MRM if that is how you see it.

Question:. Who is perpetuating the myth of women will give sex for male self-sacrifice?

Answer: Women.

Are you protesting against women who use their body as bait to lure men to buy them things?

Or how about the women who do exchange sex for resources?

If it's problematic to trade sex for protection or money or anything else, why do women use sex to get what they want?   Wouldn't it be better to freely engage in sex with no expectation so that men won't have to sacrifice themselves for sex?

Haven't you asked yourself how it's possible that even though most important positions in world-wide politics are still being controlled by men, men's rights activists are taken about as serious as black-out drunk feminists?

Have you asked yourself why top political leaders who are women are pushing the feminist agenda?

If these supposed woke feminists are on to something, why is the world trying to protect only women?

[–]DJ-Roukan 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You do not represent women, the vast majority reject your thesis, and so do we here.

[–]Men-Are-Human 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would certainly not consider it as being representative of world-wide feminism

Feminists are always keen to distance themselves from major parts of their movement when they get caught doing things that are unequal. The Duluth Model has locked up innocent men. It has been used as the basis for the legal systems of most of the West. We have just had a scandal in the UK where a feminist chief prosecutor trained the police to hide evidence proving the innocence of men in rape trials. There is also no police-held database of known false accusers, despite the fact that at least one woman has tried to put multiple men in jail.

This is the default system, and it was created and fostered by feminists. Where are the feminists asking for it to be struck down? Why aren't you fighting on our side?

Well, why do men's right activists have nothing to say about men doing the same to women?

Because we're literally just reacting to you lot when we talk about toxic women. Every post about a toxic woman is spawned by men being constantly lectured. The point of what I was saying is we are fed up of feminists lecturing men.

Again, how is feminism responsible for that? People screwing over other people ruthlessly has thousands of years of tradition, so why is it suddenly our fault? And how is it even related to anything feminism stands for?

I was adding that as an example of toxic femininity to show it does exist.

I think the major problem is men and women completely misunderstanding each other.

We agree on that, at least.

Another feminist hijacking our issues, telling us how things are, how we should be. I was there when he coined the term, sista, and no it is not what you claim, it is exactly what just occurred, what is depicted in your gillette ad...The term itself is hateful, as what you feminist accuse us of crosses all demographics, including women.

Even if we were that evil conspiracy aiming to strip away all men's rights while we establish matriarchy - we'd still have an interest in keeping nutcases like this from killing our guys for no good reason!

You are, and yoou could care less about men. This very act is sponsored by feminist dicate as to what men should be. That was highlighted in your gillette ad. How can you come here and lie outright as you are?

Look, You want to focus on toxic behavior, concentrate on that of women and stop labeling men with your hate. concentrate on your crimes against men from Duluth, to the VAWA, to the college witch hunts, false studies and documentation, influence upon our law makers that have created great disparities against men.

...and most of all, understand that YOU do not try to do anything to men. YOU do not tell us how we should be, what we should do, or what is wrong or right with our masculinity based on your feminist opinion. Those days are over, and you've already done enough damage to our boys and men.

Good grief, the arrogance of these feminist...and right in the face of yet another tragedy caused by them and their agenda.

“Lies... no racist words said, no hate crime and the man was yelling and aggressive. Nor did the wife mind at all when someone came to her defense. Tragedy all around...” fuck you melissa not every man is an abusive husband (just to clarify a user by the name of melissa commented the statement in the quote)

The top comment on the news website, by one (1) Albert Villa states, "Why was the hero arrested? Chivalry is dead."

Albert Villa sounds like a dangerous moron. And his local Police force should be watching him carefully.

Another fake gentleman picking on a weaker male victim hoping to have sex with the victim's wife.

There should be special laws and capital punishment for this BS.

that's the real motivation of a lot of these white knights. They don't give a shit about "milady" but trying to get laid by showing up another guy. It's pathetic opportunism.

White knights. Another strain of cancer to society.

I hate this new “culture” of justified violence. It’s the pernicious idea that violence is an appropriate response to hateful words or “misogyny” it’s all so vague and just lets people exercise their worst instincts.

[–]copasaurus_3 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is a god thing, if we had never gone all pussified and ceeded power to women without violence none of this would be happening.

This is the consequence of men being to pussy to regulate female behaviour.

The way I see it the only justified violence is against pedophiles and animal abusers.

[–]Onlymgtow88 15 points16 points17 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Still only if you personally witness it. To many people lie and manipulate.

[–]N19864 8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What can possible go wrong with vigilantes? As though a person has never died because of being mistaken for pedo.... oh wait it has happened.

You also put animal abusers one the same level as pedos?

No to the whole comment.

Ah... Brislington. What a shit hole. A hive of scum and villainy, same sort of people who'd attack a pediatrician because 'ped'.

The family should sue "Good Man Project" for encouraging this sort of behavior.

Dude saw a lot of abuse growing up and became an impulsively violent fuckhead as a result. I just hope the full irony of the situation has dawned on him: in trying to prevent abuse, he actually was the abuser.

I wish people better understood the risk of punching someone in the face. It's attempted murder and not a harmless social correction.

When deputies arrived at the restaurant, they asked Hernandez what happened. According to the report, Hernandez said he was having a few drinks at the bar when he noticed Srikanth Srinivasan and his wife arguing and approached them in an effort to deescalate the situation.

Mind. Your. Damn. Business.

Once again, so-called 'bystander intervention' leads to death.

[–]neveragoodtime 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Attempt to deescalate the situation: FAILED

[–]lostapwbm 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Obviously, the best way to deescalate a situation is to punch another man in the head.

FBI hostage negotiator-level stuff.

Wow that really got me. I just can't imagine talking to your wife in a restaurant, someone yells at you , walks over and...

lights out. Just so horrible.

As a Mexican, I feel embarrased morons like Benjamin Hernandez exists.

Gynocentrism and whiteknightnism are strong in many poor neighborhoods all around over Mexico, of which these migrants usually came from.

If you don't believe so, just watch all those Virgen de Guadalupe portrayals in Latino guettos

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 81%. (I'm a bot)

A man who was punched unconscious at a Miller's Ale House restaurant earlier this week died Wednesday after being taken off life support, according to his wife.

Deputies said 28-year-old Benjamin Hernandez Jr., of Sebring, heard 51-year-old Srikanth "Shrik" Srinivasan and his wife arguing Tuesday night at the patio bar of the Miller's Ale House on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway and confronted the man about how he was acting toward his wife.

When the man said something to Hernandez, Hernandez punched him in the face, knocking him down and causing him to hit his head on the floor, the man's wife told deputies.

this is such a complex situation, it could be that he was just white knighting, but his wife isnt too attractive so I doubt it, she's also alot older than the suspect, so I think it was far more likely the man was just off the hook from all the abuse in his family and he had some kind of outburst.
