I think there is some misunderstanding of what is happening with some of these, especially the ones that seem to contradict.

Most women, if they see a woman, esp. a friend, is feeling down or expect she needs some support in the moment, will take her side in just about anything. And that can lead to establishment of their general politics. Of course men do that too, but I think men are more likely to not be excessive and in fact, offer criticism if they think someone has caused their own misery or at least failed to prevent it but could have. That can cause conflict that women seek to avoid.

Another issue is the tendency of women to prioritize protecting other women's feelings over any other form of truth or justice.

So a woman with an overweight friend will be very sensitive to obese women's issues and start chanting that "real women" have meat on their bones to help another woman feel better. But a woman who knows that real empowerment comes from going to the gym and getting fit, will keep silent if other women start putting forth such an idea about overweight women.

And if a woman feels abused or claims abuse by a man in any way, women will rush to try and lift her up. And its not meant to be malicious to men....they literally don't even have a concept of the man's side because they are so focused on lifting up that woman. And then when you point out that they are making a villain of a man by believinga woman's story without any checking, they get mad, cause how else are they going to help that woman but by believing her? Its a real conundrum.

Again, men also do all this, but men are more likely to be swayed by logic to see they are being unfair or inconsistent, especially if its a man they don't even know. But women really have herd mentality really, really bad.....and if you look at other female mammal species it really comes as no surprise.

Every woman should be taken seriously....

No don't think so.

I think every accusation of a crime should be investigated and if a crime was committed the person who did it should be held accountable. But if women go to twitter or social media to accuse people they shouldn't be taken seriously unless they have already gone to the police.

As much hell as I might get for this, I'd honestly have to say that The Golden Girls is probably the best example of toxic femininity if I've ever seen one. The 80's may have been a different time, but the definition of "poor character" hasn't changed and for a show whose theme song is "Thank You For Being A Friend," the characters sure proved themselves to be quite the opposite.

Well the correct definition should have always been “toxic gender roles” and an acknowledgment that women can and do try and bind men with these, and men can and do bind women with these. But we are where we are and you can’t deny the existence of toxic female behaviour without looking like an idiot. You have to at most argue it is less prevalent if you want to maintain credibility.
