Of course there is a lack of urgency. They’ve been building and fostering a climate that encourages and cultivates male depression and disillusionment. Can’t be surprised that they’re suddenly going to decide to pull a 180.

Society: "there's a stigma around mental health, men need to be more open and talk about their emotions and problems"

Also Society: "WOW, hold on there, don't talk about them that much!"

Something positive from the article:

The report makes a total of 16 key recommendations to the Government, including the creation of a new Government role of Minister for Male Health and Wellbeing to hold the Government accountable for its targets.

Of course there is. In fact, deep inside of the heart of many people they prefer that many of us commit suicide. Because we are ugly, shy and damaged and we are not liked by anybody. Successful man see us as a stick on there asses and woman see us as a creepy lonely men that probably are rappers or something, just who care.

I literally uttered of course there is. Then saw your comment. We as men know we are disposable, we feel it.

I got a degree in engineering and its of no use to me because this sick society is so disabling lol. would be happy to even afford rent. what a joke.

I think suicide is a problem regardless of its male or female. Only focusing on one gender is sexism. There shoukd be no initiatives on male suicide only.

Show me ONE program on male suicide.

Shut up. Idiot. Male suicides far outweigh female suicides. The statistics are there. No one cares. People like you add to the stigma and try to gaslight men into thinking it’s not a big issue for them it’s a big issue for everyone. As if a man shouldn’t have a valid feeling for himself.

In India, in 2021, men formed 75 percent of those who committed suicide. 3 out of 4 people who took their own life were men. No organisation talked about this. The central government did not even mention this in passing, as the National Crime Records Bureau which published the statistics is under the central government. We have to bring gender into this because as yet there are no programs to remedy this crisis.

So if both of your hands get burned, but your left one got twice the damage and you give your right hand the appropriate amount of treatment, you would give that same amount of treatment to your left, even if it needs more?

Right, I'm going to try to avoid being overly hostile like at least one comment to this.

Just as boys and girls might learn differently in schools and might lean towards certain methods thereof, men and women have different ways of dealing with mental stress and this would likewise translate to potentially needing different kinds of therapy. Though, while we're realizing that boys are getting more and more put down in school and there are, in fact, teachers that are purposefully giving some boys lower grades (to say nothing of sexual assault), there are a lot of people - increasingly so - in the mental health sector who could care less about men. It is, quite literally, a systemic issue - unlike the other nonsense that the left has been pushing. Therefore, we not only need to focus specifically on bringing men up to the level of equality - as opposed to trying to ignore or bring men down while women are already equal - we also need to ensure equal treatment through education of the masses and a gradual push towards normalizing mental healthcare for men. As opposed to a constant back and forth of 'men should show their feelings!' and 'boohoo male tears, my emotional weight'.

Meanwhile, I do actually think we need seperate programs for female and male homelessness, although obviously we do very much need the latter. Hopefully you've seen the nonsensical '1 in every 4 homeless is a woman' stuff. Then there's stuff like what's happening in Denver where they're giving money to the homeless... but only to women, transgender folk, and the 'gender non-conforming'. Beyond THAT though, there are 'women's shelters' that are there due to victims of ACTUAL domestic violence and the like. Likewise it'd make sense to have male homeless shelters as men can also be victims of domestic violence and, given the world we currently live in with the Duluth Model, I'd posit it'd be entirely possible for a man to become afraid of interacting with a woman after seeing just what can happen.
