About the one thing I agree with them on is that women are sus (like men, which is not part of their message).

A couple years ago I actually consumed a fair bit of red-pill content and I really wanted to get behind it, as part of my compulsive and futile search for an in-group; but not all my desperation could convince me to ignore the bullshit grating on my nerves, and I've since distanced myself.

I've taken a glance at it and read a bit.

Generally, I experienced it very negatively. It made me feel bad. Ironically, it also motivated me to actually work on myself and I've probably never been better.

Redpill tries to search for truth, but is coated with negativity. It's not just the misoginy; representing women as lacking any sort of agency. I get why they do that, it's easier to work with strict generalisations, and most of the time people simply are that easy to generalise.
But it's also the misandry. Reducing men to their bodies, status and income, and giving you the feeling that a non-neglectable part of that is based on luck.
I'm not sure how much truth you can find in that, but the thing that's disturbing me is that there is always a kernel of truth somewhere. There's a very good chance the red pill is right with some things, and that thought is depressing to say the least.

That said, if you can stomach the negativity it might give you a different perspective on things, but take it with a grain of salt.
As for me, I cannot. I was in a bad place when I looked into it, and while it helped me find the motivation to self improve, I don't want to go back anytime soon.

The thing about the Red Pill group is while they're completely both misogynistic and misandric, they make good points about modern dating and a lot of women's negative treatment of men. But that's exactly how they lure you into their cult and way of thinking....

Nope. Whilst I agree with the "self-improvement" aspect of things (that's good advice generally), I don't agree with how uniformly they perceive women, almost as a hivemind to which they then espouse certain behaviours to act as "key" to the female "lock". They have this weird obsession with social hierarchies and becoming alpha and sigma males, neither of which I am interested in becoming (I don't care how many times they repeat the mantra that Alpha Fucks Beta Bux) . I have my own perspectives on what makes a good man and it's not quite a rigid as what I've seen from them. And at least amongst the proponents that I've seen, there's also a worrying detachment from trying to establish stable, genuinely loving and caring relationships in favour of playing the field.

Women are about as diverse in personality and behaviour as men, and I don't agree with the excessive pigeonholing. Ironically I come here partly because I'm exhausted with feminism's excessive pigeonholing of men.

I miss the early stuff, which included things like Alpha and Beta both being positive things, and successful relationships involved being able to display both at different times and knowing when to do so. It got a lot worse after about 2012.

No, it would do the opposite. It would paint us as misogynists. We want no association whatsoever with TRP.
