I don’t know if this was linked here before or not, sorry to everyone if it was. But I just came across it and was very interested in their findings, and the findings results.

(1) girls were more likely than boys to have a negative reaction to sexual encounters regardless of the age difference; (2) for girls, age was negatively associated with the likelihood of a negative reaction, but age had no effect for boys; and (3) girls reacted negatively to age difference while boys did not.

So it seemed to be, despite my previous thoughts, that boys aren’t traumatized by sex with older women even from pre-puberty ages though, some do but it’s rare (10-12/13). But also, it did say that girls didn’t have much of a negative reaction from it if the person was 8 years older (anywhere above that they would have a negative reaction). I’m genuinely shocked by these because I’ve seen other studies show that abuse by women can be just as harmful in the long run, but when I think about it (how it’s mostly consensual with underage boys and older women) it makes me re-think everything (except it still being wrong).

Thoughts? (This isn’t saying that older women doing things with young boys are okay, just saying my thoughts after reading this. I may be thinking way too much into it). I’ve commented here before about adult women doing stuff with young boys, maybe we’re exaggerating the harm?
