Genuine question: Do male rape victims get punished/incarcerated by the legal system?

A common issue for male victims of rape is, unless your rapist was a man you have almost no chance in hell of getting justice..
Because if your rapist is a woman she can simply do an Uno Reverse on you and claim that you raped her..

and thanks to things like #MeToo and #BelieveAllWomen you are essentially fucked at that point because: A woman 'Wouldn't possibly lie about something as serious as rape..."
Despite us having documented cases of that happening of course..

Note of clarification here: I am in no way generalizing or attempting to generalize or imply that ALL women lie about rape. Many women ARE victims of rape and in many cases they also face the same issues male victims face in not being believed or there not being enough evidence to take to trail. My comment in the previous paragraph is to highlight the overarching view within our society today.

Rape is a serious crime and should be taken seriously.

For one thing, they are far less likely than women to see their rapist convicted (UK data).

If the rapist is a woman who gets pregnant, her victim will become liable for child upkeep, even if he is underage (he will usually not be liable until coming of age, though might be immediately liable for back- payments).

If he defends himself, then he may be prosecuted for violence and will stand a chance of being convicted as a violent offender (the slight risk of that is worth it, imo). If his rapist is his wife, he may be prosecuted under domestic violence laws.

NB: In most jurisdictions only a man can legally rape. In some jurisdictions any sexual assault of a minor is rape regardless of the sex of perpetrator. I have used rape in the social context of forced sexual contact, without regard to the legal definition.

Male rape victims must pay their perpetrator child support if a child is created during their victimization. If they are unwilling or unable to pay the perpetrator every month, they will lose their driver's license, passport, and library card and then be jailed for contempt of court.

Mostly it doesn't get reported. When it does, and it is taken seriously, it is treated as sexual assault.

They have a harder time getting justice. Most of the time they probably don't report it. Maybe it depends on which country they live in.

Reading the other informative comments here... just stay home everyone. Date a robot or something. Probably safer.

On a serious note: amazing how female perpetrators get away with it and basically never plead guilty. They don't even think they are raping.
