My ex girlfriend told her current boyfriend that I abused her, just so she would get attention and sympathy. It's not true though, but her current boyfriend kept asking her why she won't go to police for it. After she ran out of excuses, she actually did go to the police.

Literally rather destroying my life instead of admitting she was lying for sympathy. It was a court case and everything, large case for a year. My pc and old phones got taken. It destroyed me. Massive anxiety now, antidepressants and sleeping pills. I feel like someone is watching me constantly. I am scared of meeting people.

Try to prove you didn't rape anyone. How do you prove that? Where is the evidence? Am I suppose to go around with a go pro cam on my head 24/7, is that the world we live in?

The scary thing about some women, is that they hate men so much that they think we aren't humans. It's like we are animals or something less worthy. And if they regret something, its never their own fault.

It's that whole "I made the mistake, so it's YOUR fault" mentality. Nobody wants to take responsibility for their stupid actions and there are complete idiots who support these people and will twist the narrative to make them the victim no matter how illogical it is.

Apply the same logic to a robber. Holds up a petrol station and get cause by the police. These people would argue that it's the the petrol station's staffs fault the robber went to jail because they called the police, not because the robber bought a gun, planned to hold up a petrol station and followed through with the action.

It's amazing that they can't seem to read the incredibly clear final sentence of the OP.

But I have been worried about this on college campuses for a while. Basically that after the sex happens, there is still a period of at least the next couple days during which the guy has to be careful to act nice to the woman so as not to be in jeopardy. Essentially it criminalizes being a "love 'em and leave 'em" cad.

Now, I would say it's perfectly legitimate for a guy to get a bad reputation if he is a lothario who gets women into bed and then ghosts them once he's gotten what he wants. But he still has the right to be that way, even if it makes people mad at him. One of the things I think this generation doesn't get is that you can be a jerk without being a criminal.
