In western societies equality was accomplished by the early 1990s (because of universalist humanism that started 150 years earlier, not because of 1970s feminism), and then the equality line was trampled on by feminism and western societies gradually turned from equality to being chauvinistic in the other direction. In those western societies there are indeed small enclaves of male chauvinism, in orthodox hardliner minorities (of all religions), but the vast non-orthodox majority in the west is currently living in female anti-male chauvinism, this is shown in the data, it's not a guess (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

Culture must be humanist, meaning that every human should receive the same universal message - "no person can do X to any other person" without any sex indicated on any part of such imperatives. When you delete humanism and all the messages in your society are only "men must not do X to women" instead of "person to person", then millions of women in your society will never know that they need to refrain carefully from inflicting harm. Women have power and occupy the full human spectrum. Women are not blows of transparent air. When half the population in a western society, a half that has equality in the law for 50 or even 100 years now and equality in culture for at least two generations, is exempt of any human responsibility for own actions by deleting the universalist (=applies to all) messages and replacing them with sexist messages (=applies only to half of humanity, which spells freedom to cause harm, because "what half of humanity is not allowed to do to the other, the other is not disallowed to do to the first" - this is the basic principle of racism, and when applied to sexes, of sexism), then this exempted half will become exceedingly harmful, as it does have human power, and power minus accountability equals violence.

Feminists in these female-chauvinism societies constantly point to the male chauvinism in countries outside the west, as a rationalization for their own chauvinism enacted through replacing universalist humanism (=applies to all) with sexism. This is anti-humanism and anti-equality and the justifications given for this are based on a lie, the lie being "this only balances". In reality this is not meant to balance anything, rather, all humans without exception have internal innate aggressive impulses, and this human aggression in feminists is the sole source for the sexist chauvinism they are enacting. What they are doing when pointing to male chauvinism in distant territories to say "we are only balancing" is finding excuses for their violent impulses, psychological rationalizations for violent impulses.

Chauvinism does not, and cannot, "balance" chauvinism - on the contrary, enacting a chauvinism is the exact opposite - an action for justifying chauvinism (can you do any action at all without it being the very justification of the action? Unless you are coerced at gunpoint, doing is justifying). Tell feminists and women who endorse feminists' exemption of all women from all human imperatives: Be a humanist. Do not attempt to justify wrongdoing, no matter how many likes it receives. Those are not likes of humanism and justice but of aggression and violent impulses and in the case of men - these are likes of fear. Endorse only messages of the form "a person cannot do X to a person" without any sex indication in any part of a human imperative - as this sex indications is chauvinism - just reverse the places of such sex indications in an imperative to see it clearly. Be a humanist.
