So at this point I’ve agreed to let the wife keep the house just for the kids, especially while they’re still in school. I’m going to have to move out once I’m physically able to get around better, but that’s 2-3 months away. So what is the consensus/opinion on what to get for a new place? An apartment or condo as a short-term/stop gap? Go right to a new SF home?

I’ll be having the kids at least 3 overnights a week.

I’m not fully dependent on getting the buyout from her as I have an inheritance that hasn’t been dispersed to me yet. I’m trying to hold off on that until divorce is final though.
