Folks have already pointed out some of the data behind Race & Rape, and the data shows that more White Men are prosecuted for Rape than Black Men. When we specify the denominator to be race specific, however, we see that black men are arrested at higher rates. For clarity, my denominator is the number of arrested men based on specific race.

Regardless, Harper Lee didn’t write a banger of a novel for no damn reason. And it sounds like you are looking for the cultural explanation of this.

So Black Men are the Orient while White Women were closer the Occident (Edward Said’s Postcolonial theory). Despite being a part of the Occident, Women still previously lacked basic rights for an extended period in American History. We often see examples of minorities/oppressed groups discriminating against each other in order to assert dominance/gain power.

In the past (pre-sexual revolution), a White Woman falsely accusing a Black Man of rape exemplifies one discriminated group oppressing another. Since White Women were a part of the racial Occident/Majority, their false accusation would maintain cultural credibility, as the Orient would be considered “untrustworthy” or “savage.”

Because they have a racist family and would be ostracized for it. Same reason someone called rape over Facebook on my cousin.....he's a high school man whore and after dating a girl for a bit the girls dad found out so she call rape .....

Black men are often stereotyped for being violent, angry and thuggish, which has also resulted in them being deemed the majority of perpetrators who commit crimes such as sexual assault. As for why ANY women would falsely accuse ANY man of rape, the answers vary, but often include revenge, embarrassment, power and lack of penalty if/when such lies are even discovered.

you know how black men are always telling black women that white feminism serves white women and not black women? yeah. back at ya. Theyre not gonna acknowledge racism just because your a dude. lmao you tried it. lets get together and start another black wall street and see if these "im not racist" white men burn it down again. Comradery between men will always come second to competition over resources and women are one of those resources. In case you forgot plenty of white men hung black men for sleeping with white women. If you stand in their way to money or power theyre gonna fuck you up. Men cannot escape this competition the same way women can. Hunters might have a beer with another hunter, but when that buck finally walks by they'll be fighting over it. That will never change.
