You know, I think this girl just doesn't like men all that much.

Her super pickiness is just her way of avoiding persecution from others when they ask "why haven't you found a man/married/had kids etc etc" she can just say "oh I just haven't met the "right" guy"

Its an unverifiable quality and gives her an instant get-out-of-jail card whenever she's put on the spot. And if you question her, you're the bad guy and again she has another card to play, the "victim" card.
