I'm very interested in (read: "morbidly curious about") just how they tortured the data to make it confess than men tend to benefit from being accused of rape.

Assuming the study even exists and wasn't made up on the spot by your crazy coworker, which is also distinct possibility.

Ask her how she would benefit from being accused of murder, where it doesnt matter if there is any evidence that she did it, becuase in rape cases you dont get "innocent until proven otherwise". You have to prove your innocence. Other side dont have to gather any evidence that you are guilty.

I very much doubt such a study exists, if so it is probably on very shaky ground, for example a study finding that 20 years after being accused of rape a man is, on average, worth more, but he has had 20 years to get over the rape and restart his career, thus after 20 years of hard work he has managed to pull himself back together and get to where he would be in just 5 years without the rape accusation but none-the-less he is more successful than he was.

These feminist studies tend to use creative methods to interpret data to reach the conclusions they desire, it's the old "correlation does not imply causation" fallacy, just because a guy has progressed in his career many years after a rape accusation does not mean the rape accusation benefitted him in any way, shape, or form.

Wtf is wrong with your friend.

How can anyone benefit from having a false accusation on them? Having to hire a lawyer to fight the case. Getting your name smeared and possibly 99% of your so called friends and family not talk to you. Getting possibly kicked out of your work, school or whatever and be on sexual offender list making it hard for you to get any meaningful employment that’s not construction.
