I just read this article in Time Magazine. It struck me how, during this affair, he treated her as women so often treat men in romances. Scratching her back, biting her to the point of drawing some blood. The kind of things we picture women doing to men in particularly passionate and wild affairs. To nobody's surprise at all she notes how others describe this as abuse, but she herself says it wasn't "sheer abuse". She also doesn't claim she was sexually assaulted, so I'll give her that. On the other hand, she is marching in the pity parade in full public view. Here's the link to the article.
