HB 1301 was signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis...a friend to men and their children.

Text of the bill:

Parenting and Time-sharing of Minor Children; Removes requirement for unanticipated change in circumstances in order to modify parenting plan or time-sharing schedule; creates rebuttable presumption that equal time-sharing is in best interests of child; provides standard of evidence to rebut such presumption; requires court to evaluate certain factors & make specific written findings of fact when creating or modifying time-sharing schedule; authorizes modification of time-sharing schedule.

Signed by DeSantis on June 27, 2023 and is now law.

Not only that, he reduced one of the only reasons men have to get married in Florida. He signed a bill extending fathers rights to unmarried fathers as long as they can demonstrate they were involved fathers before the break up:

HB 775

Shared Parental Responsibility after Establishment of Paternity; Authorizes parent to request certain determinations & creation of parenting plan & time-sharing schedule; requires determination of parental responsibility & child support & creation of parenting plan & time-sharing schedule to be done through certain action; specifies mother of child born out of wedlock & father who has established paternity of such child are natural guardians of child & subject to rights & responsibilities of being parents; specifies mother of child born out of wedlock is natural guardian if father has not established paternity.

Signed into law by Governor DeSantis on June 9, 2023 and now law.

So no need to get married, the only reason I did the second time, to have parental rights to your children.

As MRA's we should support Governor Ron DeSantis as he supports men's rights.

I withdraw my concerns voiced last year when he veto'd default 50/50:

And support the National Parents Organization who lead this winning effort.
