I have seen a lot on this forum about women only wanting Chad's. Chad being the hot guy who is dumb as rocks and has no personality, who women are only after him cause he's hot. What I don't see is a lot of the discussion on the double standard. To be frank I am a girl, but I wouldn't say I'm overly attractive, I wear glasses and have somewhat thin brown hair. Not balding but not the ludicrous thick locks that our society covets. I'm nerdy and awkward and love video games, weird stuff and physiological discussions. But oddly I am also confident I will hit on a guy if I am attracted him. And I tend to be forward with what I want.

The 'chads' have never been attracted to me. But this has never bothered me, cause quite frankly I would prefer to have someone I can have a conversation with.

But not just in this forum but in life I see a double standard. The same men who complain about girls not liking them aren't coming after me. Even the weird shy awkward ones, they are going after the women who meet the societal standards of what an attractive woman should be, not just in looks, but in personality. It seems to me men here, and out in the world hold a double standard, they want women to want them, but not every woman, just the ones who meet their standards of attraction. They complain about women only wanting 'chads' but don't realize they are only after the women who are the equivalent of chads and then are upset when these specific women don't want them.

I say it's a double standard because from my perspective I don't say... "Oh they only want hot women." I look at myself and say... well how can I make myself more attractive to the opposite sex. I don't feel like the men on this forum do the same. They say well "They should like me for who I am." but them pass over girls who, in fact do, because they are not "hot".

So my question is why is it you expect women to be attracted to you for who you are but expect women to change, in order for you to be attracted to them for who they are?
