I live on a 'walking street' that has a lot of foot-traffic from locals and tourist alike. I'll just be sitting outside, enjoying the weather, and Thai women walking by will smile, say hello, stop for a chat, sometimes get a little flirty...

But then if an American woman happens to walk by my field of vision, often they'll look at me with hatred and disgust, put their nose in the air, and do the whole head-jerk hair-flip. How dare I have the audacity to exist in their presence! I just ignore them.

She was the catalyst behind this murder. She should have received serious prison time. Her age (17) is old enough (in a lot of states) to be tried as an adult in a murder case.

This was in 2019. The brother got 30 days! But apparently he “didn’t take it lightly” and kept “thinking about it”. As for her - her sentence wasn’t made public. But since her brother only got 30 days I’d be surprised if she got more than a caution and good behaviour bond.

Karma gets everyone. That's all I can really say to keep reddit happy but those who cry wolf are often left defenceless when a real one shows up is all I'm saying.

Growing up there was a woman who repeatedly accused multiple men of hitting her, eventually she got with a guy who DID beat her. She didn't survive.
