Women greatly underestimate how much they value looks. Why is this?

Because Women hate how shallow and looks based men are (despite most men willing to compromise on their looks standards.) This creates massive, chronic insecurities in her. Every day she questions her beauty and compares herself to other women. Even A pimple can feel like her world is collapsing.

To women, this male shallowness must be bad, since it makes her FEEL so Insecure. Hence, Most Women can’t accept that they are also shallow.

After all, Women determine what is good and bad based on how it makes them FEEL. (shallow = bad, since male shallowness makes her FEEL bad. )

She also needs to vent about how shallow men are. But if she realizes she’s also shallow, this would be hypocritical and create cognitive dissonance.

So Women rationalize it’s about his “personality.” The catch is his “personality” ( to her) is really based on how he makes her FEEL.

And how a man makes a woman FEEL is based first on his looks. (Second it is based on his “communication skills.” What she means by this is a whole separate post.)

The looks almost always have to be there. Very rare can “communication skills” overpower looks. Women will gladly point out these rare exceptions of course.

Looks induce strong FEELINGS in women.

For example, women regularly mention they want a man to “show interest” in them.

When an attractive man shows interest in a woman, she FEELS special. “OMG He likes me! 😍 “

When an unattractive man shows interest In a woman she FEELS suspicious and uneasy. “Why is he asking so much? Is he trying to get in my pants?”

They could say the exact same things. Yet the former has a great “personality,” and the latter is “creepy,” or a “friend” at best.

His looks strongly affect how she interprets what he says, and hence how she FEELS.

Therefore, She effortlessly rationalizes that it’s about his “personality.”

The looks are just a “Bonus” in her rationalization.

Now she is absolved of guilt over her own shallowness, the very trait she detests in men.
