Basically, my wife of near 10 years asked out and is unwilling to try fixing it. I fully acknowledge that I've become codependent as I don't have any friends or family of my own and her kids (adults) and family are all I know.

The current lease is ending in November and I have one of two options:

  1. Stay in the state we've lived in for the last ~5 years or
  2. Move back to my home state

Thing is, getting around would be next to impossible here as there's little public transportation (I don't have a car myself and haven't driven in years due to double eye surgery).

Not only that, I was laid off from work a couple weeks ago and while I have some savings, it's not much (~$5,000).

My last relationship was roughly half the length of this one and it took me a LONG time to recover. This one...I don't know.

I'm trying to hold it together but I'm an emotional wreck whose having a hard time thinking clearly due to the overwhelming sadness and dread of quiet aloneness.

Two of my biggest nightmares (being homeless and losing my family) are hitting me at the same time and I honestly don't know how to cope. Knowing that I'll have to either donate or sell 90% of
The worst part is that I can't even get approved for an apartment without proof of employment so at best I'll be relegated to an extended stay hotel until I either run out of money or find a new gig. Hell, if anyone knows of a WFH gig I can do, I'm all ears. My background's in digital marketing but with the looming recession, client work's all but dried up.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm hoping writing this down will keep me from curling into a ball and sobbing all night long (again).
