My last ex took me to a hole in the wall breakfast taco place, and I’ve been to multiple coffee dates. I don’t want to go somewhere expensive just for it to be a date that doesn’t work out for either of us 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is some pretentious boujie shit created by people who’ve never had anything truly valuable in their lives. It’s like it stems from some deep-seated fear of looking cheap or being treated like you’re poor.

I get it, I hate restaurant chains and avoid them at all costs. I like mom and pop restaurants. I am not a fan of movie dates because you don’t get to know the person that way. But this is just pure materialistic consumerism for the sake of appearances.

Your worth shouldn’t be dictated by “the list you give a man” of acceptable dates. It’s a 50/50 agreement. Where is their dignity? Who in the hell goes on a date, expecting the guy to pay for everything? That’s not stated, but it’s implied. It’s not 1950 for fux sake.

My husband and I met for drinks only our first date. 14 years later, turns out we both survived just fine.
