Here my hypothesis

Disclaimer: When I am talking about the "Bad Boy/Jock", I am not talking about the confused term, the Dumb Jock, which is the result of head injuries in contact sports and the past conflation of education/knowledge vs cognition, as they were not discrepancies between being well read and being intelligent.

  1. The neurobiological benefits of exercise- I am not going to delve too much into it but in conclusion, physical exercise has the most robust studies on improving all levels of brain functioning, than any other form of intervention either pharmacological and supplements. The human brain and body thought, if you where on the move(literally), than you need to be as sharp as possible, as external threats where far more diresome than in modern antiquity. The hunter gatherer Bad boy/jocks where actually more cognitively nimble than the Nice Guy settlers. They where also more than likely to supply better resources and nutrition and because of their hyperactivity and traversing mass landscapes, had better foraging and hunting skills. Exercise also positively influences pro cognitve gene expressions(especially vital visualspatial skills), which means better cognitive abilities to survive within immenent threats(think Rambo). This is also explains why women are attracted to well toned-muscular bodies(research myokines).

  2. Psychopathic tendencies- having a psychopathic neurocognitive profile is a net positive, similar to having sickle cell trait vs full blown sickle anemia. Psychopathic behavioral traits confers better social intelligence and suprisingly( I didn't know of), better fluid reasoning in one study. Their fearless tendencies also met better capabilities of protecting their offspring, whether from human or naturalistic threats. Better stress control also allows you to keep your wits intact when shit hits the fan. All in all within this, psychopaths produce some exhibit traits of resiliency in their offspring.
