Ranted about this before elsewhere earlier and felt this was worth sharing here. It's so infuriating when people downplay misandry and will claim it's not nearly as severe or destructive as misogyny or causes no real harm (and then you've got those who straight-up deny it's real). They'll claim women can't discriminate against men (which is blatantly false). I hate it. Misandry is very real and just as harmful and destructive as misogyny is and is downright malignant with how it continues to go unignored and unaddressed and not taken seriously. Misandry is a major reason so much of society and the governnment fails to recognize male victims of abuse, violence, rape, etc. (especially by women), how badly men are treated in the legal system and how terribly biased the education system is against boys. And of course men still having to register for the draft and the whole "women and children" narrative where men are always ignored and excluded. And you know with "children" it's really mainly referring to girls, as the rights and welfare of men and boys are never taken into account.

And of course a favorite rebuttal is that misandry is not "systemic" like misogyny supposedly is even though there's no evidence for misogyny being as such in the West. It's disgusting and infuriating how misandry is always treated as a joke and not taken seriously when it's not only real but has caused so much more destruction and harm than many realize. It continues to do so with things like the high male suicide and homeless rates, abuse shelters turning away male victims, no campaigns to also end violence against men, etc. Misandry is much more destructive and malignant than many realize or even want to admit.
