Girls grow up being told that men want to opress them and prevent them from going places in life, so whenever a man says something rude, even if it's unintentional, it's seen as proof of this.

When guys complain about the treatment of men, it's seen similarly to to a wealthy or attractive person complaining about how hard life is.

They make simulators to show men what it's like to have periods or be pregnant. They should make a TV show where women are dressed up to look like men for the day, so they can experience what it's really like.

If you accept a oppressor vs oppressed view, you are pushed into thinking that one group is oppressed and the other is the oppressor.

That's why I like to frame it as 'injustice' rather than 'oppression'.

If you are afraid of being called bitter you will never be able to advocate for men.Everytime one advocates for men he’s perceived as misogynistic,bitter and angry. They always say they wish men could unite and everytime men unite and agree on something they are labeled as misogynistic and bitter. It’s like “we want you to Unite but unite in a way that doesn’t make us uncomfortable.”

On a men’s rights post women were suggesting how we as men and women must have a conversation so we can do better and come to a common ground etc. I will tell you why that won’t happen, it won’t happen because if you say let’s talk about it and come up with solutions, it means you have to listen to my concerns and I listen to yours then we see what we can do from there.

However when men try to address their concerns that have to do with women, instead of women listening they rush to say you are bitter,angry,misogynistic,so how can you expect a productive conversation where one party can’t express concern?

Or are women still under the hallucinations that men aren’t suppose to call them out,we must not pretend that we don’t see what women are doing is harming us emotionally? So until women are ready to listen to men without labeling them as angry nothing will be solved.

Ironically I'm finding it rather easy to destroy their preconceptions about the "patriarchy", by saying that they killed it and now it's gone. I then back my statement with evidence, aka, giving examples of female privileges that men don't have, that wouldn't exist if there was any semblance of a patriarchy. Then I point out that we're instead falling under a matriarchy, and I give examples about how women control the society and culture, even at the exclusion of men. For the same reason you'll hardly meet anyone who'll say culturally pretty women are oppressed. Most of us measure how good or bad someone else has it based on what we have. When you look around at who's likely to be wealthy, have a position of power...it's generally going to be a man. Most people also live in a world of poor generalizations so they unfortunately make the jump from those men are wealthy and powerful due to oppressing others so men as a group are the oppressors

I think both men and women have their own issues unique to the gender. But it's pretty much an unspoken fact that people focus alot more on women's issue also with regards to men and women doing shitty things almost every time women don't seem to be held anywhere near as accountable
