Been p*ssy footin’ around for wayyyyy too long. Finally ripped the band aid on Friday. I was actually able to file all my stuff online which was a small win.

Been married to my wife since’09. We have been together since we were sophomores in high school. Probably part of the reason why I waited so long to pull the trigger.

Wife is an addict. We have been playing this sober time-relapse-rally game for far too long. She decided to eat a bunch of Xanax in December and completely wrecked the holidays for the family. Pretty much the last straw there.

Anyway, papers are filed. I need to hire an attorney now. If she can’t stay clean during this process I need to get a motion filed to restrict parenting time asap. If nothing else, I want to request that she is drug tested while we get thru this sh*t. If I have to still live with her for the next 3-6 months before this becomes final, I can’t have her blacking out on these pills of hers and causing chaos around my kids.

Do any of you have any experience with your spouse being an addict? I’d like to know how you were able to navigate these weird waters. How your attorney(s) played their cards, etc.

Any feedback/input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!
