Why are the police/prosecutors allowed to access legally confidential information between a lawyer and his client. This is highly illegal and should get not only any "evidence" collected thrown out but also the case dismissed.

This definitely does not help her case. It makes her look very guilty to have people searching for evidence on the dead victims computer, in order to eliminate it.
