It's a bar, the women are dancing. The girl dancing with you may have been flirting a bit. You danced with her. Did you offer to buy her a drink after the dance was over?

Ask the staff who mentioned it. Play up the foreigner/ new to area card as a reason for culture shock and why this behavior is unfamiliar territory.

If its a dance floor, women will dance around you a lot because they’re dancing too. It’s kinda like singing with whoever is beside you at a concert.

Staff mention it too? What exactly are they saying? Do you hand around after closing and have a friendly chat with them? Bartenders and servers won’t usually set you aside while working because it tends to be busy. If they’re mentioning people dancing with you, it’s possible that they’re just making small talk like they do with everyone else. saying “looks like you’re having fun there with the ladies” is just them being friendly which is part of their job.
